Lovely Surprise

Wow! In the heart of Rioja land.
Cool, refreshing, great value hotel
Family room, courtyard view of trees
Room is perfectly fine. Bathroom with everything you need for a great stop over.
Restaurant with meals included .. air conditioning.. great Spanish atmosphere and welcome.
Would recommend to anyone

DO NOT STOP

We have only stopped for breakfast, the waiter a big guy with a bad milk answering everyone, I have not left because my children were hungry and you see they have eaten a minimal snack reheated in the microwave, they have toaster but it looks like they do not use it because they do not give you toast... I have told him that if there was no snack without cheese and he says lady I want him to say... I have not asked for the book of claims because he was going on a family vacation, it was a break to drink something and stretch his legs and I did not want to mess, but what a cloth with the Lord.

a horror

It's a shame to see such a large hotel in its current situation. Totally empty. My car was the only one parked. It has its own free parking but at night there is no light and you have to go out with your cell phone light. The sink drain was clogged and filth was coming out. The shower didn't work and the duvet was stained... in short, a horror... There is only one guy at reception who goes to rest at 9:30 p.m. and if you want something you have to ring a bell. There is no in-person reception at night. Gives a little yuyu....I won't go back, not even if they pay me.

Satisfactory overnight stay

The motel is basic but clean. Room rates are reasonable. Restaurant is fine and again reasonably priced.
La Bodega is right on the main highway to Madrid and is a good stop over point. There isn't much to do in the town unless it's a Sunday where you can indulge in some tapas.

La comida fatal

Comimos de paso en el bar, bocatas i tapas. La atencion un poco lenta sin estar lleno el local. Los bocadillos en un pan entre bollito y baguette totalmente chicle. Bocadillo de lomo bacon queso: lomo poco hecho, bacon mas grueso que el lomo y queso del normalito. Bocadillo de tortilla: La tortilla no se veia entre el pan, muy finita y pan muy grueso.
Plato combinado de pechuga, ensalada y patatas: Patatas frias de el dia anterior por lo menos, pechuga cruda y ensalada deficiente.
Patatas bravas = patatas con ketchup i mayonesa.
Croquetas muy normalitas.
No vayais!!!
We ate at the bar. The service was a little slow even though the local wasn't even full. When you ate the bread that they served with filling it was like chew gum. The loin was raw and the bacon too thick.
I ate a fish with fries, a fried egg, salad and meat. The fries were cold, like they were cooked the day before, the meat was too raw and the lettuce was wet.
Spicy potates were not with the typical spicy sauce, they were served with ketchup and maionayse.
Aviod the place!!!
