up close with giraffes

we visited here wen we were at Nairobi I loved feeding the giraffe it was an amazing thing to doing so near to them I didn't want to leave. I also like the water hogs with them so cute. You get pellets when you get there and just hold your had out and they come right up to you

Spectacular

Giraffe House is just outside Nairobi. The rooms are beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The food is also very good. The great thing about Giraffe House is you never know when a giraffe will poke his head inside your window or walk into the lobby. If you can you have to give this place a try.

Good value for your money

I loved the place, it had a clean swimming pool. The breakfast was basic but good. the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were good, the bathroom however had a drainage problem. There happened to be a water problem during our stay but that was quickly sorted out. Its located close to the town which is accessible by tuk-tuk.

Absolutely Lovely

Stayed in Malindi for the weekend for a friend's birthday party - found out about Giraffe House through a friend who had read the reviews and it seemed like a good place to stay.
We loved it. Such a wonderful price for clean rooms, comfortable big beds, and although not super huge rooms, very comfortable and nicely kept together. We loved relaxing in the beautiful gardens, and really enjoyed the swimming pool. Although it seemed like perhaps the owners were not there (?) Henry was absolutely wonderful, making sure we had everything we needed, always around if he had any questions, put a lot of effort into the breakfast (fresh fruit - great), and called us tuk tuks whenever we needed them.
Giraffe house is just 5-10 minutes tuk ride from Old Town, minutes from Kilili (we used their beach... totally recommend it for 700 shillings), and lots of good restaurants that are not far.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a nice quiet place, it quite literally just felt like we were in our own home (well, we were also the only ones there... along with two of our friends).

Do you speak Italian?

Place where you can meet most likely Italian tourists (like everywhere in Malindi) - looking for calm atmosphere, comfortable rooms, not crowded swimming pools or cozy terases (for eating, talking, reading or just relaxing on stylish sofas). The service was overall good.
