nice hotel but dinner was a let down

stayed just one night. quiet location, a bit rustic but castle setting hides the flaws well. staff were friendly and polite. the evening meal was the let down as the quaility and presentation had a lot to be desired. desert which should have been petit fours but had to be sent back. the shape, texture and coverings were not even close to what a PF should be. breakfast was excellent. we will be back but will walk to dalkey for dinner next. time, pity as the cellar bar in FP is a lovely setting.

Just delightful

Everything about this place exceeded my expectations. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. Excellent sized rooms with good amenities, lots of family time in the pool (not an hour a day like some places), hot tub, sauna, ice cold plunge pool, padel, so much to keep us entertained! Breakfast was great, full selection of everything you’d hope to see and more, and we all enjoyed eating at the restaurant and a drink at the bar.
A small issue with cleanliness in our room initially was speedily resolved, and we are already looking forward to our next visit, so that says it all!

Quality stay near Dublin

Nice and quality hotel near the coast and the Wicklow mountains. The kind personnel, the quality of the kitchen and the swimming pool are making it a very pleasant stay.

Fabulous stay at Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel

I had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel. My room was spacious, very comfortable and equipped with an iron and ironing board, nespresso machine and stocked with biscuits for an afternoon snack as well as bottled water. The breakfast buffet was exceptional, with the cold buffet offering all kinds of fruit, yogurt, cereals, granola, pastries, cheeses and juice, while the hot buffet offered pancakes, scrambled and fried eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, hash browns, puddings, bacon and sausages. The staff was most pleasant and helpful at all times. A 15 minute downhill walk gets you into the town of Dalkey, which is a lovely village with excellent restaurants and pubs, but I usually did take a short taxi ride back to the hotel at night instead of doing the uphill walk. Taxis are plentiful and the ride back to the hotel was about 10 euro. There is nothing not to like about the Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel. I hope to return there again.
