Excellent Stay in the Heart of Palolem — Steps from the Beach
Akasa Goa is an excellent place to stay if you want to be right in the heart of Palolem. The location is a huge plus — just steps away from Palolem Beach and surrounded by cafés, shops, and local markets, yet still peaceful and comfortable.
The rooms are well maintained, clean, and thoughtfully designed, making the stay very comfortable. The property also has an in-house restaurant, which is convenient and serves good food — perfect for relaxed mornings or when you don’t feel like stepping out.
The staff are warm, friendly, and always helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. Everything you need is within walking distance, which makes Akasa Goa a great choice whether you’re visiting Palolem for the first time or returning.
Highly recommended for couples, friends, or anyone looking for a hassle-free stay close to the beach with great hospitality.

Worst experience
I've been staying in AkasaGoa for the last 4 years and every year the quality of service has been declining.
This month of May we stayed for 8 nights. Worst decision ever.
1. We had water leaks from the ceiling to the bed and other parts of the room.
After many complains they changed us to another room which still had water leaks. The bathrooms were smelly. They charged extra for kids but they don't give any extra facilities.
2. We experienced many power outs ever day many times a day and they didn't have their backup power working. So we didn't have fans, ac neither lights in the room for hours.
3.They dont clean the rooms. You have to remind them many times to come and clean the rooms.
4. Swimming pool was dirty.
5. They have reduced their staff to half compared to other years
6. Totally overpriced for what they offer. One can really stay in better serviced hotels for cheaper prices.
7. Their parking area was always packed with cows, cow poop, flyes all over and smelly. When we asked to pls clean that area so I could park my scooter they refused, they said they dont clean that area.
8. They have water bottles in the room but one has to refill it oneself. And they dont have any other facilites like kettle, fridge or TV.
9. The WiFi was horribly slow.
10. In general the manager and receptionist were not helpful at all.
I won't stay there no more. I regret paying so much for such a horrible experience. Other years their service and quality was better but noe everything has changed.
I would hardly recommend not to stay in there and search for other options.

As you know, our property offers a peaceful, natural setting with comfortable amenities, and we work hard to maintain a balance between affordability and quality. While we understand there are more luxurious accommodations available nearby, we aim to provide our guests with a warm, welcoming experience at a fair price point. We’re sorry to hear that this did not come through during your stay this time.
Regarding the power outages, as mentioned in previous responses, these are unfortunately part of the local infrastructure challenges, especially during the summer season. We do have a generator, but it cannot be run continuously or turned on immediately after each short outage, to ensure it remains operational for longer interruptions. We understand how inconvenient this can be and regret the discomfort it caused.
Our cleaning staff works every morning, and we encourage guests to make rooms available for housekeeping during their regular hours. We’re sorry if this process wasn’t clearly communicated or consistently followed during your stay. The issues with the pool and other amenities you mentioned are being looked into as a priority, and we will certainly take steps to address them.
We regret that our communication and support from the front desk did not meet your expectations. Your feedback will be discussed with the team so we can improve in this area as well.

Akasa Goa is lovely place to stay when in Palolem.
The bungalows are great and beds comfy.
We were with family and friends
As mentioned the pool is temporary - many of our group still enjoyed it
the staff and breakfast at Saltys were very good as were the pre dinner drinks!
Would definitely recommend ****

Loved it
What a lovely surprise. Located on the very busy Cleopatra junction I was concerned it would be really noisy. How wrong I was, it is a secluded lush quiet haven away from the hustle and bustle but within easy reach of all the amenities and beach. The cottage was clean spacious and the very large bed was amazingly comfortable. Breakfast included at Saltys was a delight the masala omelette was delicious. The pool looked inviting however the sides were showing signs of wear and tear nothing a little spruce up could fix. Absolutely recommend this place and I will be returning.

Lovely stay at this gem of a hotel
We had a 3 week week stay here in a superior cottage, and would have happily stayed longer. Wonderful staff, everything we requested was provided straight away. The rooms were cleaned every day to a high standard. (they only clean your room if you request it and you leave your keys at reception) Air con was good if you use it - we don't. Lovely hot shower every night.
The breakfast at Salty restaurant was excellent, and plenty of options. I highly recommend the porridge with fresh fruit.
Grounds well kept. Nice location away from the busy areas but not far to walk.
Minor grumbles - the pool area needs some cosmetic attention, but I understand this will be done imminently, the balcony chairs were a bit uncomfortable. A ceiling fan rather than a freestanding fan would be better
