Excellent for Kefalonia, we will return!!

Excellent hotel, clean, with front desk staff always very helpful. Room with a garden view, clean and quiet, air conditioning always working; it made us feel very comfortable. Sun loungers available by the sea 50 meters away and by the pool, which was also always tidy and clean. Possibility to take umbrellas and use them during the day at distant beaches. Breakfast was insufficient regarding the croissants, but everything else was there and it was also abundant, including fruit. A round of applause goes to Dimitra from the breakfast room, a very friendly, smiling woman whom we will always remember. To finish: with a very pleasant walk along the beach you arrive at the center of Sami and the port; we always ate there in the evening. Thanks for everything!

A perfectly fine hotel but pricey for what it is and lacking in charm

Ok so I have to be honest, despite a warm welcome, a clean and comfortable bed and bedroom, decentish facilities and an ostensibly family run atmosphere, this didn’t feel like good value and I was surprised by the rating here in TA.
- The beach outside the hotel has freezing water intermingling with the sea water maybe from underwater springs but it’s not that pleasant to swim in.
- The rooms are extremely basic and feel akin to a premier inn. Our shower was not great (not a lot of pressure)
- The pool area gets very busy very early and as a result you may find yourself swimming in sweet wrappers as I did once
- Sun loungers and seating by the pool is basic and not very comfortable
- Breakfast is ok but nothing special and the juices are clearly watered down
- Driving into the hotel Carpark the concrete everywhere and feeling of being somewhere industrial is overwhelming - it’s far from pretty
In essence you will arrive at somewhere that feels very package holiday-ready rather than anywhere with a particular charm and that was disappointing.

Relaxing holiday in a great location

We had a great time at the family run Sami Beach Hotel. The rooms were always clean, breakfast plentiful but most of all the staff and family were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, they arranged taxis for us, rent a car, trips, everything. The hotel is in a quiet spot, with beautiful views, on the beach. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. We will be back. The Pavels

Amazing views from the hotel, bus stop from Argostoli nearby. Easy to walk to mellisini caves and easy to arrange transfer to the Sami to Patras Ferry. No need to leave hotel till at least 8.10 for the ferry but we left earlier as I was a bit of a worrier! Pool and hot tub amazing. Tennis court great fun with the kids. Easy to walk to Sami and to restaurants. Only regret I wasn’t stopping longer! Staff so friendly and helpful. The staffs English was excellent which helped me as I know very little Greek. I’d come back for sure. Kids loved it too.

Very happy guests

This was our 4th trip to the Sami Beach and will definitely return , It is in a beautiful
location - a 20 min stroll to Sami and if you want a relaxing break Spyros and the family and staff go that extra mile to ensure everything promised is delivered. Love the place and the team. Graham and Alex Birkett
