Family run family friendly.
Many comments on here about repeat visitors…. Not entirely sure why that’s negative? Yes during our stay there were lots of repeat customers but everyone was restates the same and if you chose to drink at the bar in the evening then you received nothing but a warm welcome. I’ve seen a few comments about loud music at night. It is in the bar but we were theee rooms away from reception and we couldn’t hear it. Pool bar is reasonably priced and food at lunchtime is plentiful. Pool is spotless and we were here at peak season. Yes people reserved Sumner’s but we always managed to get one for our party of 3. The family were friendly accommodating and in the afternoon you felt like part of their extended family as their relatives begin to arrive for a quick swim. Supermarket across the road for all essentials. Go early and you can get amazing bakery goods if the breakfast isn’t your thing. My daughter struggled a bit with the choices so we bought yoghurts and fruit for a few euros. In the evening you can walk to restaurants within 5-30mins. No real nightlife as such but that isn’t what Kefalos is about.

Fantastic family run hotel
Absolutely fantastic, family run hotel.
Great pool and snack bar. 100% would recommend we will definitely be going back.
Rooms were very clean, didn't have a kettle so the family got us one.
Wish I could rate this higher.

A good hotel with a few drawbacks
This hotel on the whole is a good place to stay. The rooms are clean and are spacious, the staff are generally lovely and happy to help and the location is perfect if you like a little bit to do but not being too busy.
However, there are a few aspects that let the hotel down. The first being the breakfast is very basic with not much choice at all, the hotel does seem very clique with people who return regularly and they do seem to get slightly better treatment, there are signs all around the pool stating “reserving sunbeds is prohibited” this is not true and wasn’t enforced at all. We got down to the pool at 10am most days and couldn’t find 2 sunbeds due to people coming down early and placing their towels on them then going back to bed, at one point I counted 36 beds with towels and no people to be seen. If this is the case there is a lovely bar just across the road called MyPlace that has a stunning pool that you can use if you spend €15 each at the bar (easily done). Finally if you have a late transfer back to the airport and you check out at 11am don’t expect to be given a shower or any amenities to freshen up. I was told if I really needed a shower I can use the outdoor one, as you can imagine I didn’t want to be showering with everyone being able to see!

Last minute success
We have just returned from a last minute week at this hotel, and what a great week we have had. The welcome we received from Nickos and Manos on arrival was as if we had been known for years. The room as we requested was on the first floor plenty of room, storage and perfectly clean. Towels changed on third day and bed on day five but room cleaned daily. Breakfast was continental, freshly boiled eggs, ham cheese tomatoes etc. We used the snack bar at lunchtime reasonably priced with good selection. Ideally situated for bars and restaurants with supermarket nearby.

Arrive as guests, leave as friends. This hotel has everything you need for a restful break in Kefalous. The family that run it go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable and fun as possible. The rooms are good, clean and have everything you need. There is an iron, fridge and hairdryer. Rooms are cleaned daily and towels changed every couple of days. The pool area has plenty of comfortable sunbeds, no sunbed wars here!!!. It's clean and well maintained, little Sarah will be there to greet you, she is a little darling. The breakfast is basic but this is Greece and the butter is lurpack. The pool bar serves snacks from 11 to 3, meals are plenty and they will do a mixture of eggs on toast, omelette, sandwiches,pizzas and gyros. The beers are bottles, as are the soft drinks. They wine was nice. There are about 5 euros each but then your paying for the convenience. All served nice and chilled. The evenings are fun, Nikolas,AKA "Gary" for anyone there with us, is happy to provide some entertainment. The music is on during the day from 11 and on until the evening but it's not intrusive. It has a good atmosphere and everyone makes you feel welcome. The bar is there as the resort itself is quiet but you don't feel pressured to be part of it. Plenty of good restaurants close by, even found something for my fussy husband and all staff friendly and helpful. We would like thank the family for our stay, Nik you honestly made us laugh so much, water polo is a must, if your brave enough, it's all banter, Nik and the kids take on the adults and there are winning at all costs.
Quiz night was good fun. Everyone at this hotel is friendly, some people have been going for years, this was our first time as it was for many others who we met but everyone was happy to chat and offer suggestions on where to go. If your thinking of booking this is definitely would you won't be disappointed.
