Quiet sanctuary

Spacious studio with balcony looking out to sea. I stayed here whilst attending an event which was down the road. I really valued the quiet sanctuary my studio gave me after spending all day with people. Very clean. Such helpful and thoughtful hosts. Thankyou Nectarios and wife.

Immaculate rooms and great value

My husband and I spent 7 nights this summer at Aptera Hotel. The rooms are spotless and we had 2 balconies - one with a view of Souda Bay and the other looking over the valley to the White Mountains. The host could not be more helpful with local information and insights into Cretan culture. Aptera itself is a great base to explore Western Crete and close to lovely beaches in Kalives. The Hotel is a 10-mins walk (spectacular views on the way!) to the village centre where there is a shop and tavernas.

Beautiful hotel, wonderful hosts

The hotel is at the top of a hill, so the view from my balcony was of the blue sky and water, as well as the mountains. My morning walk was up to the Aptera historic site 1km away, and there is a charming cluster of restaurants 1/2 km down the hill. The place is new, filled with light, and is perfectly clean. Above all, the owner of Aptera Hotel is one of the most helpful hosts we've ever encountered. He was there any time we needed- for advice about the trip, to bring us fruit, water, extra blankets, or help getting our phones and devices to work, and he was right there when I was locked out at 1am. We would all love to go back and further explore the magic of Crete, and would definitely stay at Aptera Hotel again. It felt like home away from home.

A MUST IF YOU GO TO CRETE!

We spent a whole week with my family and it was the most amazing experience!!. First the food was so good , we tried almost the whole menu and we loved everything and the prices are so good.
Service: Everyone was so nice!! It was actually hard to say goodbye , because they were so kind and helpful .
Room: Perfect room, huge bed, clean bathroom and the most amazing sea view ever!!
i would recomen this hotel without a doubt!!!

Great host, quiet area, spacious and clean room

We had a great stay at Aptera hotel. The room was very spacious and very clean. The area is very quiet and relaxing. The host was extremely helpful getting us information and making sure we had an excellent stay. The location is quiet remote so you will need a car to get around as the taxis are expensive and no public transport in the area. Would definitely recommend this place.
