Good rooms, good food

We were here with my parents during the summer holidays and had two double rooms in the new building. I was absolutely thrilled. Exactly my taste. In addition to the number, all rooms have their own bird picture to match the bird park. That makes recognition easier and has character. The picture also reappears in the room decor. Our rooms were furnished slightly differently, but both in the same style. I would describe it as a "nature" theme. Cozy, tastefully coordinated wood and few colors, indirect lighting, a spacious shower, and a beautiful stone sink. We felt very comfortable.
We also liked that we didn't see any storage corners or unused areas. Every free space seemed to be designed as a room. We noticed that especially with the access paths. For example, we had to briefly leave the building with the restaurant and lobby and get to the new building via a small path outside. In many hotels, this would certainly have just been an access path. Here, it was a room. Beautifully designed plantings on the right and left, a few rocking loungers on a small lawn, beautifully lit in the evening. Great. Every area consciously beautifully designed.
Both the delicious dinner and the varied breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. We were all thrilled with the quality and the selection. It was a lot of fun to dispense the jam and chocolate spread yourself into sustainable little bowls instead of collecting plastic containers as trash on the plate. The selection of muesli, drinks, and hot prepared dishes was also great.
We especially liked that the entire staff was friendly without exception. From the reception to the restaurant service to the cleaning staff, everyone always greeted us in a friendly manner and gave us a smile. One got the impression that everyone here feels like a host.
If we wanted to offer constructive criticism, we would wish for slightly softer beds. And it would be great if the rooms had mosquito screens on the balcony doors. Then one could let in more fresh air at night. Because the location by the pond with lots of reeds is super beautiful, but a mosquito or two finds that as well.
We would definitely love to come back.

Always happy

A great hotel, quiet, top service, good restaurant and great wellness department with large pool. Nice surroundings and then a nice brewery that fits.
We come here more often now.

Nice & friendly

Remote and very rural is this now huge hotel-restaurant-event complex where you can comfortably stay and eat nicely. During our visit, there was a lot of celebration here, but nevertheless it was not loud. Recommended!

A nice, not quite cheap hotel in a very quiet and very green location. Ideal for visiting Walsrode.

We visited the Walsrode Bird Park and wanted to stay close to what we did at the Trout Farm. The hotel is great with restaurant we also used. It runs as a wellness hotel. Too bad there is only one indoor pool and the outdoor pond is now totally full of algae. You can't swim in it, but it's not pretty to the eye either.

4 star hotel that deserves none

We stayed 2 nights on the way to our vacation round trip, the first night the room was cramped and without comfort, we asked for another room for the return, we did receive another room, but equally small without comfort, without air conditioning, and the pompom, next to the staff dormitory that made noise all night. In conclusion especially do not let yourself be fooled by the beautiful photos. This hotel does not offer the services you would expect from a 4-star
