I loved this place. The staff were really nice and helpful. When Gustavo picked me up at the airport, he drove me around town so it would be easy for me to find myself while walking around and he helped me organize all of my tours. I would for sure stay here again.

SCAM! Horrible place ruined my vacations.

BEWARE! THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. Paid almost $200 a night in cash only to find out that my room has no hot water, broken lock, window with a hole and a twin sized bed instead of king size that I booked. The manager pretended that it all was news to him. I asked for a refund and the manager suddenly had no proof of the payment I made and lied to booking agency about the whole situation. They lie that I never showed up at the property despite me staying there for 3 nights.
Also, the swimming pool is only 5ft long and never cleaned. And there is no real coffee for breakfast, only cheap instant one. Internet is unusable and slow. And of course, no administration is ever on site in case you need them.

A good property with decent prices

We stayed 4 nights at this property and loved it. Very friendly staff, small hot tub, great and varied breakfast. The owner was always very helpful. The room was very large, simple but with comfortable bed, small fridge and fan with pedestal. The rooms on the ground floor also have a small garden with a table and 2 chairs

Very poor customer service

I am writing this review to make people aware of the level of customer service found at this hotel. I was booking several stops in an extended vacation that in southern South America, which was including a stay in Easter Island. I booked a room at Hotel OHIRO and then within a minute after I booked, I realized that I had the days off by a few. I immediately contacted the hotel (I still have the message thread on WhatsApp) and explained the situation that I still wanted the hotel but just to switch the days from the 22nd to the 26th, to the 25th to the 29th. To make a long story short, they said that they don't make changes and that I can rebook and pay again for the new rooms with no refund. I can see if I waited a month and then was asking for a switch, but this was literally immediately after the booking was made. The person at the desk said that they would get back to me, but never did. My messages to them went unanswered.

Our Experience in Hotel Ohiro was wonderful! Mahina, the owner, who received us at the hotel, she was the Best. Her welcoming was outstanding, she is so friendly, well educated, and willing to give us the best experience in the island. She accompanied us in our second tour and it was spectacular! We loved her knowledge and attitude, great experience with her.
