ห้องพักที่สวยงาม

ยอดเยี่ยม โรงแรมที่ดำเนินการโดยครอบครัว ห้องพักสวยการรวมกันของโบราณ และทรงผมทันสมัย พิพิธภัณฑ์สงครามโลกครั้งที่สองมันมีดี ห้องอาหารยอดเยี่ยมมาก มี 2 ใกล้โรงเบียร์ เรารู้สึกเหมือนกับได้ย้อนเวลากลับ เราจะกลับมา

A step back in time

A town fill with tons of history from years gone by, Het Pachhof is decorated with memorabilia from World War 2, with lots to see and do.
The B&B was clean and comfortable with a great continental breakfast.
The rooms have Clean linen and great shower and a TV that works with out having to log into your own apps

A weird combination of hotel and museum

Don't get me wrong; "Het Pachthof has many positive points. Het Pachthof is situated in a ancient farmstead in the quiet village of Borlo. Free parking spaces are available opposite the hotel. The reception by the "mother of the house" is a bit reserved, but polite and efficient. The commodious room offers a good bed and a spacious bathroom with a modern shower stall and plentiful towels. All ingredients are there for a satisfactory stay. What is a bit weird is that the hotel doubles as a museum commemorating the winter of 1944, when WW II was raging in Belgium. Starting with the American WW II tank next to the building, the rusty remains of airplane engines in the entrance and a dummy parachuting from the roof of the entrance, the tone is set. Furthermore, the furniture in the hotel and also in the rooms are from grandparent's time. Room numbers are designated by ancient bicycle tax shield. In our room a WW II bicycle was pressed into service as wall decoration. (See picture). The result was, that the room was a strange mixture of old and modern. A modern shower stall, but a wash basin without mixing tap. A DVD-player is available, but the TV is so small and ancient that you need almost binoculars to watch the movie from the bed. Another weird thing was the message on the fridge (a fridge is available), that only stuff bought in the hotel is allowed to be placed in the fridge; an exception was made for medicine. But the main purpose, a good night stay, was more than fulfilled. A three point rating with something to spare. I would not mind staying again at "De Pachthof". Oh, I almost forgot. An authoritative black-and-white cat is part of the hotel staff, giving the hotel even more charm.

Degoutant

Wat een puinhoop is dit. We zijn vertrokken, zonder ontbijt, na één nacht. De waakhonden waren blijkbaar belangrijker dan hun klanten. Ik zeg nu klanten in het meervoud. 12 kamers en wij waren de enige, blijkbaar zeer duidelijk ongewenste, gasten. Toerisme Limburg, waar is jullie verantwoordelijkheid.

Back in time, terug naar de oorlogsjaren 40-45

Deze B&B met museum 40-45, wordt uitgebaat door een enorm sympathiek koppel met hun dochter en schoonzoon.
Je stapt net de set van 'Allo Allo' binnen als je de gezellige 'bar' ban de B&B binnenstapt.
de eigenaars leven als het ware in die set en je zit dan ook al snel met hen aan tafel verhalen te vertellen en te luisteren. Een eigen biertje en een lekker glaasje wijn maakt het dan compleet. De kamers zijn ingericht als was het 1940. Het ontbijt is eerder beperkt in aanbod maar is ruim voldoende voor de gasten die er verblijven. Het museum is heel zeker de moeite waard om te bezoeken. Geen moeite is teveel voor de uitbaters.
We hadden een zeer aangenaam verblijf en komen zeker nog eens terug
