a warm welcoming guesthouse

a very local guesthouse suited back of an alley, the host is very friendly with warm welcome. Room is simply but cozy, breakfast is amazing with some local dish. No luxury but heartwarming.

Friendly staff, good location

The hotel is in a side street about 5 minutes walk from the Registan complex and the main road with a number of restaurants. It’s in a small alleyway so was quiet. Rooms are situated round a court yard, mine was a good size with ac, fridge etc and was clean with a comfy bed. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the young man on reception who spoke good English. Breakfast was included in the price and was huge! I never managed to eat more than half. The only downside was a smell from (I assume) the drains, which was only really noticeable when you first entered the room. That was the only reason for a mark of 4 rather than 5.

Very good stay

Spacious and spotless room on the upper floor. The bathroom is more compact. Small hotel with a few rooms, organized around an inner courtyard. The hotel is quiet as it is located at the end of a small dead-end street accessible only on foot. On the other hand, the Registan is really very close. Very warm welcome, with occasional words of French from the receptionist present during the day. Breakfast with a lot of choices.

Great hotel went extra mile

This is a great hotel, well located 5 mins walk from all the main sites, tucked down a back street and therefore very quiet. The breakfast was the best we had in Uzbekistan due to the variety, rather than the usual cheese, ham and egg option, we had sweet and savoury pastries, warm rice pudding in addition to eggs, bread etc. the staff were very helpful, even offering a packed breakfast because we had an early start on our final day - a nice touch. Extremely clean and the bathroom functions well. The rooms are on the small side. I would opt for room 201 or 101 for best outlook, over internal courtyard.

Highly recommended

Hotel Hanifa is a small hotel of about 7 rooms where they are very friendly, friendly and everything is pretty cute
Our twin room was nice, and had everything, bathrobes, slippers, toothbrush etc.
The pillow was very hard
Breakfast was not buffet, but was with several things that came served, we liked
To access the hotel you pass through two narrow and inhospitable streets, but well
The patio is beautiful
And it's super central
You cannot pay by credit card. Cash only
We would repeat
