O Kite Hostel é um local acolhedor em Chiayi, perto do Mercado Noturno de Wenhua Road. Você pode facilmente caminhar até a Estação de Trem de Chiayi em 12 minutos. O famoso Alishan fica a poucos passos de distância.

Mostly excellent...
Easy to find hostel, about ten minutes walk from the railway station. The hostel appears to double up as a shop selling a very beautiful and varied number of flowers and it is very pleasant to walk in to the front part of the store and see and smell the wonderful products there displayed. The crew are very friendly and gave good advice on how to get to my proposed destination next day, the National Palace Museum (Southern Branch). Next day I was given a lift to the station on a moped so that was good. Breakfast is basic but was pretty good, they made allowance for my vegan diet and made a couple of simple jam sandwiches. There were those little tomatoes that are so abundant in Taiwan, also available. So...all good. But there were a couple of niggles. The beds were very hard, the bathroom was pretty basic and for some reason the tap in the basin did not work so I ended up cleaning my teeth using the shower rose. Never mind! The four bed dorm I stayed in was pretty small and there was no privacy curtain around the bed. It's next door to a park and in the evenings I was there (Saturday and Sunday) there was music and dancing which I really enjoyed. It's in a pretty lively area, some restaurants and such like. This is a nice hostel.

Forced booking to transfer money in advance,
No one can be found after sending money....
It is recommended to spend some more time looking for other people's experiences,
Not to spend money and get angry

WORST HOSTEL IN CHIAYI
Worst ever! I've been to almost all counties of Taiwan. Never had such problem.
They messaged for the payment even though Agoda said to pay upon arrival. They said it's holiday so they are fully booked.
It took me long to check my emails as I'm preparing for this long trip. And I booked everything through Agoda to make it smoothly. They messaged 3/17
Then they gave 3/19 as deadline.
I was trying to pay it through Agoda as I cant read much Chinese and dont have Tw bank.
I successfully asked someone to help me pay by 3/27.
I sent the receipt to them, and asked them couple of times to confirm it. No reply.
I wasted too much time contacting them then a friend was able to help find their number. But no reply.
The same day, April 1. Before leaving Tainan, I asked a staff from a coffee shop to help me call them. The number they put is wrong. Or maybe staff's number. Then the person gave a new one. So the girl helped me call again.
They said it's confirmed and just waiting for my arrival.
(I can stay a night more in Tainan so if it didnt go well, it's ok.)
They even asked for the transaction code.
Upon arrival at 9+pm, did my best to make it fast, they said they can,only provide different type. I said how different. They said just look first cos it's hard to explain.
Upon seeing... elevated floor, with 4 thin mattresses, no curtains or any divider, like 10 inch gap only.
Then they were asking me if I like to get it or not. They will give back 100 ntd as compensation.
There's 3 other guys there.
What I booked is a cheap bunk bed. Not like this.
I had no choice cos it's holiday and no place to stay. So I just said OK (with a poker face on) just to have a place to put my stuff first. I walked for around 15mins from the station.
After that I went to the police station using uBike cos I'm so tired already. To infrom them about the scam of this business. They escorted me to go there and they were also surprised with the situation. Then they helped me go to the police station to fix things and look for a place.
They called them and said I will give back the key and they refund my money.
So happy to leace that hell place.

Like what other says, it's really hard to pass through as they have flower and joss papers everywhere. It's quite near the night market though.
They are not that friendly too.
I ended up staying in a cheap room nearby the train station. They are not in Agoda. Slightly higher price but own room.
Kudos to the Chiayi Police Bureau and Chiayi Changrong Police Station.

For the LOCATION
We stayed at the 2nd property that is located in a residential building at a side street of the night market (the night market is only on ONE street).
The unit we stayed is re-constructed to have 5 rooms, with up to 4 beds in every room attached with a bathroom/toilet. In my opinion, the lights in this unit are too dim. The rooms are also very tight for 4 beds. The bathrooms are simple, with shampoo and shower cream provided. One of the rooms has it's bathroom built on the balcony. While the door at the other room's balcony is spoilt.
The unit is very old and I can see efforts have been made to make the rooms look pleasant. It seems like they have another unit in the same apartment and the people at the other unit will come over to this unit to refill their water.
On the whole, we don't feel very comfortable in this apartment. I had a chat a neighbour one early morning and I am not sure if this property is legally re-constructed or not.
The rates is good for the location if you don't mind the condition of the apartment units. If you have higher budget, I think you should look else where.

初めての嘉義で駅からも近く安かったので
以前から行きたかった嘉義に初めて寄って駅から割りと近くて安かったので泊まってみました。建物の一階ではインスタントラーメンとかを出す食堂やフラワーアレンジメントをしている場所みたいでした。２階に共同スペースが有りインスタントティーや水が飲めました。３階がドミトリーになっていましたがトイレ兼シャワーが２階に１つと１階に２つだけなのは少し不便でしたが対応は良かったです。
