Luxury, Comfort, and Unforgettable Alpine Views
Firefly was unquestionably the finest hotel of our trip through Germany and Switzerland. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, polished, and attentive, making us feel genuinely welcomed throughout our stay. Our room was beautifully designed, spacious, exceptionally comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed.
The hotel’s location and views were outstanding, creating a peaceful and memorable setting. Breakfast was delicious and elegantly presented, with an excellent selection, while the amenities reflected the same high standard found throughout the property.
Every detail felt carefully considered, and the combination of luxurious accommodations, exceptional service, and remarkable surroundings made our stay truly special. Firefly exceeded our expectations in every way, and we would return without hesitation.
The sauna and Jacuzzi were being upgraded during part of our stay, which was disappointing because they would have been especially welcome after our amazing hikes. Even so, every other aspect of the experience was exceptional. Firefly exceeded our expectations and remains the best hotel of our trip.

Dear jmonagh71,
Thank you so much for your wonderful review and kind words. We are delighted to hear that Firefly was the highlight of your trip and that you enjoyed our service, your suite and the breakfast.
We appreciate your understanding regarding the temporary upgrades to our outdoor area due to installing an ice bath. While those facilities were unavailable for part of your stay, our indoor sauna area remained open and available for guests to enjoy.
It was a pleasure welcoming you, and we look forward to hosting you again on your next visit to Zermatt.
Kind regards,
Your Firefly team

Awesome hotel. The included in room breakfast was a nice touch. Consider adding some loaner hiking poles and bicycles for six stars!

More Than a Hotel — A Place I Keep Coming Back To
The Firefly Hotel has become much more than just a place I’ve stayed—it’s a place I genuinely look forward to returning to.
I’ve stayed six times and visited even more often, and each time I leave with the same feeling: this place is special. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, the pool, jacuzzi, and sauna make it easy to completely unwind, and the breakfast and bar are always something to look forward to.
But what keeps bringing me back is the people. The staff and owners have created something that feels warm, personal, and welcoming in a way that is hard to find.
Whether with family or friend, whether for just a night or an extended stay, I always feel at home. That’s what makes the Firefly so memorable—it doesn’t just feel like a hotel. It feels like a place you become attached to.
I’m very grateful to have found it, and I know I’ll keep coming back.

The Perfect Honeymoon Stay!
We chose the Firefly for our honeymoon and it truly could not have been more perfect!
The facilities are extremely clean and the pool was the perfect temperature. I'm so glad we visited during quiet season as we were able to have the pool to ourselves twice a day every day, I wish we could have taken it home with us! There is also the cutest branding on everything and makes the whole place feel so put together.
The balcony and view were lovely. There were building works across from us but that wasn't the hotel's fault at all and my husband made light of the situation, plus they were done by the time we got home. We also played pool in Bar 55 which was very relaxed and just as welcoming as the rest of the hotel.
The hotel is the perfect distance from the town and is only a short walk to the cable cars that take you up to the mountains! The forest fun park is also super fun and the walk over has a perfect view of the Matterhorn!
The room itself was great for the price, the kitchenette saved us a lot of money since there is a little shop in town and breakfast served to us in the morning was a lovely service!
All in all, we truly didn't want to leave and we would love to come back and visit one day! Thank you so much again for the perfect honeymoon stay!
