Truly a gem!

Very charming and quaint place with a beautiful garden full of typical Swiss Italian palm trees and with a decent size pool. You could eat your breakfast and dinner on their amazing yard next to the garden. The room was simple but comfortable. We enjoyed every morning our excellent buffet breakfast and coffee served by a very friendly waiter named Paolo. Excellent hotel that we warmly recommend!

Beautiful setting – but everything else fell apart

The garden and view are idyllic, but the rest of the experience was a disappointment. No air conditioning in the rooms, small windows without mosquito nets, and missing curtains made it hard to sleep.
The restaurant was the real letdown. Our meal (€179.50 excluding tourist tax) was overpriced and poorly executed. Starters were bland – a limp goat cheese salad, flavorless frozen carpaccio, and uninspired pasta with cheap parmesan.
Mains were worse: the beef was inedible (tough and cold vegetables), and the fish utterly characterless.
We were charged for two Cokes but only received one. A liter of water cost €9.50.
This place relies solely on its surroundings – not on comfort, care, or cuisine. A missed opportunity in a beautiful spot.

Unique Place

At the end of the Malcantone Valley we spent a great night in an authentic Albergo. The room was simple but comfortable and there were was also a furnished hidden place in the beautiful garden with southern plants. The dinner was really excellent and we can warmly recommend to eat at the hotel. A great place for spending active holidays or a quite weekend.

Amazing and authentic

A historic hotel consisting of two buildings. In the center of a really small town, an uniq place.
Stayed in the old building in two very good located rooms for one night. Balcony to the narrow Street on one side, patio to the garden on the other one, separate bathroom for one of the rooms, all fascinating experience...
Decorated with old furnitures and stuff, mostly it fits. Some details in bathrooms need improvement maybe but everything was working.
Amazing ambiance with big garten, terrace and old design stuff, in every corner there is something to find.
Very good and rich breakfast with elegant service.
We had a wonderful dinner in hotel restaurant with very high quality service.
Visit even for the dinner, it worths...
Friendly and helpful staff, very elegant waiters in the restaurant.
Absolutely nothing to critisize negatively.

Gerne Wieder

Verstecktes kleines historisches Hotel zwischen Italien und der Schweiz gelegen. Hübsche Zimmer, nostalgisch belassen. Pool als Highlight unter Palmen. Sehr freundliches Personal; zuvorkommender Chef des Hauses. Wir haben fantastisch gespiessen! Und auch die regionalen Produkte beim Frühstück waren top! Gerne wieder!
