As it was off season the hotel and the island we exceptionally quiet. It was bliss.
The room was clean, spacious and quiet.
Our evening meal was good (although limited vegetarian/vagan options), and breakfast was exceptional.
We would visit again. Thank you!

Gem of a hotel on a perfect island
We had a cabin with terrace and picnic bench overlooking the village and sea. Plenty of room inside and an extra small bedroom besides the twin beds in the large lounge/kitchen area.
We had a meal on the evening we arrived and it was superb. I am vegetarian and had a dish of roasted cauliflower with a chickpea sauce. It was delicious. My friend had the fish and was very happy with that. With wine and dessert the bill was roughly the same as going out in the UK. Breakfast was amazing the following morning and I was sad to leave. Wish I had booked for two nights. The staff were so friendly. I notice they do good value packages for weekends. It is certainly worth considering if in Stockholm. It is only a 30 minute car ride plus an hour on the ferry to get there.

Very good food. Reception a little poor.
Arriving at 8pm on the ferry, we stood in reception as a group of of eight (8) expecting to be checked-in. After about 5 minutes we were frustrated at waiting, and got the attention of one of the waiting staff - who told us that reception closed at 5pm…
We checked-in, and I was told that our room 203 was in a yellow building, and the member of staff waved in a general direction. We cycled off, tired and hungry, and failed to find our room - which was 300m away in the trees. I returned to reception, and saw a map that showed the location. This was a really poor start.
Our room was great - in a characterful building with 7 other rooms. Fab view from our room, and from the outside communal deck.
Breakfast was absolutely rammed both days, and the staff struggled to keep things stocked up, but the buffet was really good, with an extensive range of meats, cheeses, breads, fruits, drinks, cereals and hot food.
The restaurant menu is modest, but the food is excellent.
The staff are entirely charming. Friendly, helpful, and attentive.
There’s a good bar.
