Dream weekend!
Absolutely amazing experience! We checked into our incredibly cozy rooms just after 15, a room at the mansion and a room on the right wing.
Around 17 we went down to their cozy spa, with incredibly service minded staff and great atmosphere!
In the evening we had dinner at the restaurant and were taken care of by incredible Fredrik who gave us the best service and exceeded all our expectations. The food was 10/10 and the breakfast was equally so!
We will definitely be back!

Disappointing conference experience – low service levels and uneven standards
We stayed at Gimo Herrgård in connection with our annual internal conference and were unfortunately clearly disappointed with the overall experience.
What was missing above all was hosting. No clear conference manager was present, and conference coffee was meager and uninspired – simple cakes, coffee that was not replaced and staff that felt disinterested and anonymous.
The rooms were of uneven standard and several were in poor condition: cold rooms, broken shower equipment, cracked sinks and a generally worn impression.
The SPA area was very cramped and cluttered, with small changing rooms and insufficient temperature both in the sauna and spa pools. It didn't feel adapted for the number of guests.
Dinner was very disappointing. The starter and dessert were acceptable, but the main course was heavy, outdated and perceived as downright bad. Several of the party got stomach ache and felt sick afterwards. Vegetarian options were also handled carelessly – the same dish was served again the following day, partly based on leftovers from the previous evening.
When the bar closed at 11 pm, it was clearly felt that the staff wanted us to leave, with no alternative space to gather on, even though we were a conference group staying at the facility.
We have provided this feedback directly to the hotel and received a lengthy response which mainly focused on the booking conditions and what was not included, rather than on the actual guest experience.
In conclusion, Gimo Herrgård did not deliver the quality, service or hosting we expect from a mansion that markets itself for conferences. We will not return and unfortunately cannot recommend the place for conferences or groups.

Tack så hjärtligt för att du delat med dig av din feedback här också. Det är mycket tråkigt att du inte är nöjd med er vistelse. Det är vår helhjärtade ambition att alla våra gäster ska lämna oss glada och nöjda och en missnöjd gäst är en för mycket.
Värdskapet är en viktig del för oss och det är tråkigt att ni inte upplevde att vi fanns på plats för er. Jag upplevde att jag fick god kontakt med flera deltagare när jag serverade er kvällens välkomstdrink men jag kan ha misstolkat detta. Jag tror att om vi ser oss alla i spegeln så finns det saker både du och vi kan göra annorlunda. Det ligger inte i min natur att skapa en offentlig diskussion av detta och gör bäst i att hålla mina tankar för mig själv. Det är inte ofta vi landar i denna slutsats men det hade sannolikt varit bättre för oss båda att tacka nej till er förfrågan när vi insåg att det fanns en ambition att vara så pass kostnadsfokuserad i varje del av evenemanget. Detta är något som är lärorikt för oss och för det är vi tacksamma.
Det stämmer att det kan bli trångt i spa-avdelningen när många gäster besöker den samtidigt. I er offert har ni valt bort entré till spa-avdelningen. Givetvis ska vi se över de delar du menar är trasiga eller dåliga. Så ska det givetvis inte vara och de rummen ni bodde i är nyligen renoverade vilket gör det ännu mer angeläget.
Återigen vill jag tacka för din tid och din feedback. Det är glädjande att det ändå fanns positiva element i vistelsen och jag hoppas att vi båda kan ta med oss det. Vi kommer sannolikt ses igen i olika sammanhang och jag hoppas att vi då kan mötas och ha en vänlig och professionell dialog vid dessa tillfällen.

Charming hotel in heart of Uppland
This is charming hotel located near Lake Gimo which not only provides a picturesque setting, but also a place where you can swim or take a dip directly out of the Spa sauna. The staff is tremendous and catered to our every need. The food is fresh and highlighted local fish and produce. In particular, my stay was made memorable by Hamza - who makes sure guests enjoy the Spa, Emil who provided some great cuisine for our group and Mitch who provided a bike for local rides. I recommend taking walks along the lake and you can see some of the homes that Stockholm residents have as weekend and summer get-aways. The beds are great and the breakfast was a great combination of all things one loves about Sweden - crisp breads, pickled products, smoked salmon etc. Definitely a great value!

An outstanding room with a sauna. It was also great to have a sports channel which is rare in hotels.
The personnel was really nice and the waiters are the restaurant friendly and professional.

Great weekend!
Be here with an adult family. All were very happy with the nice, large and fresh Deluxe Double Room. Started with afternoon tea, which was generous and yummy, luxurious with bubbly. After that to Sjöstugan for swimming in fresh hot barrels. We mostly hung out in the wood-fired. Most of the party ventured into the lake. It was cold, but really lovely. Super tasty four course dinner, with very good drinks package. Even the special diet was fine. All staff were amazing, nice and easygoing. Extra thanks for letting us finish the pool, even though you were closing, it was very worth
