Unique family hotel in top class

This is the familiar hotel with hear Service friendly staff and an absolutely wonderful breakfast for everything cooked from the first ingredient.
Also the restaurant is of high class and very good

Cosy room, excellent breakfast, good location

I stayed in the cosy single Dynastar room. Clean, warm, comfy bed, good powerful shower in the spotless little bathroom & fridge & kettle in room. Loses a star for lack of proper clothes storage other than 2 rows of closely spaced coat pegs & I coat hanger. A small chest if drawers would have been more useful than the bedside leaf table. Beware if you are tall & have long legs - there is not much legroom between the toilet a and bathroom wall. Each room has its own ski locker outside, opened with the room key.
Excellent breakfast - after disappointment at a general lack of porridge in Scottish hotel breakfasts last year I was delighted to find a pan of porridge every morning, with a great selection of toppings (blueberries, various nuts & seeds, jam, honey, apple puree) Home made bread (often still warm - rolls, sourdough loaf & crispbreads) and a selection of their own charcuterie plus cheese. To cap it all, perfectly boiled eggs (set whites & runny yolks).
Location in centre of Funasdalen very handy for bus station (for ski bus to other Funasfjallen villages & longer distance services), gondola ski lift up Funasdalberget mountain & shops.

Live in the middle of the village in a well-equipped apartment.Extra good accommodation if you want to be close to a bistro or r

Accommodation in an apartment with many beds, well-equipped kitchen, possibly a little cramped with one bathroom when all the beds are filled. A little construction work is going on, but nothing that bothers. The only miscalculation was the quality of the pillows which were of the simplest kind.

Worth the trip...from Sydney Australia!

What a fantastic place! Incredible food, excellent local advice on where to go and things to do, very warm welcome from Tomas, Malin, Emil and Rasmus. Dinner at Skoogs is a must, superb food and wine.

Great value for money

We were here a few times before, we never book in advance. So we made the guess again. We wanted to stay 2-3 night so we could enjoy walking in the beautiful area which has many well marked roundtrips. On the first floor there are larger apartments with balcony, but it was only free for one night left, so we choose to stay in the small apartment on the ground floor again. We brought our our linnen but because the beds were already made up, the owner offered that as a free service. So were the towels. No extra charge. So we stayed 3 night. Before, the restaurant was closed on the days we were there and now, the restaurant was closed permanently/summer, too bad for us, we looked out for it. But we cooked ourselves instead.
Great beds, free wifi and a modern and clean bathroom. Kitchen is well equipped but you need to bring everything with you, but there is an ICA closeby. One minor point we found was the noise of the freezer and we couldn't turn it off at night, but we told the owner so it's probably fixed.
Improvement since the last time we stayed there, was that they changed the wall besides the main entrance in a closed wall. So there is less daylight but more privacy and the decoration is well done. Next summer, we come back.
