Good for the price

Good for the price and nice staff. Quiet place. A bit far from the beach but you can walk there easily.
Good place for few night stay in Diani beach. I stayed with my friend few nights and spend the most of our time at the beach and visited also children's home near by the hostel.

Avoid this at all costs

Do not book through hotels.com whatever you do and do not stay here!
I made a booking for a hostel in Kenya and upon arrival the hostel (Diani Hostel Ukunda) told me very in an unpleasant way that they had no affiliation with hotels.com and was fully booked, which left me completely stranded. I tried to get a refund over 2 months from hotels.com, and contacted them 8 times. Each time they reassured they would process the refund and get back to me, but they never did and I never got my money back..

Disgusting. Too many cockroaches in the room

Disgusting. One of the worse places that I have never been. Too dirty everything, when I enter in the room I saw more than 5 cockroaches, the workers not nice, not professional, I don't recommend nobody. Horrible experience.

Good Modest Place

It’s a nice place, with a good friendly Masai Askari. The staff is friendly and the place is beautiful. I would recommend for those visiting Diani though it’s quite far from the beaches.
The cottages are nice are awesome too. The dorms too are beautiful and place suits those traveling on a really low budget.

Great Value For Money

Arrived in Diani Hostel without any booking and they still had a place for me in the high season.The place was much better than what I expected : a chill,friendly atmosphere with half-isolated dorm in a cabana style structure.The beds were ok,the toilets should be improved, if you dont mind walking a bit,I cant say it is too far from the beach.It took me 20 mins to go to the beach.They have a nice pool as well in case you just wanna chill in instead of going to the beach.But what I most loved with this place is the staff that made me feel so comfortable in this place.Matin the cook,the girls and the Maasai guards were all fun people.I would definitely come back here to stay longer!
