Beautiful hotel in a great location

Beautiful, elegant room with a four-poster bed and a chandelier. Easy walking distance to the old town and literally across the street from the amazing Lucie Schulte restaurant. Parking is in a garage a block away.

All right.

The hotel is very central. Had rooms in the guesthouse across the street. The room was large and clean. Bathroom in order. Breakfast is a bit difficult. Thermos coffee, sausage and cheese too cold. Jam packed. No fresh fruit, no egg dishes except rock hard boiled eggs.

Nothing wrong with the view

If you want a beautiful view or are looking for a hotel right in the heart of the city: do it right away. The rooms are old and fairly stylish. Breakfast is far too basic for the ambiance. Service is there but not self-evident.

Görlitz

One of the very few German cities that weren’t wiped out by English bombs. And it shows. The whole city is nothing less than a postcard. What a jewel. It gives you an impression of how German cities looked like before WW2. Hotel is located on of the marketsquares in the old town. You feel like in a museum. Wonderful experience.

Well-located, well-priced, and a hospitalilty gem

The hotel has several buildings in the square. We were located in the guesthouse across the street from the main hotel. The room had archways and thick walls showing that it had other uses prior to this current use as a hotel room. It was a huge space with a foyer and restroom. Then through a door to a small bedroom with a single daybed, and another door to an enclosed courtyard. Through the double doors was a table/chairs and small kitchen space where an extra bed was set up for our second child. Then through the archway to the main bedroom with a kingsized bed and two windows that overlooked the square. It was lovely. The continental breakfast was included with the quoted price. The hotel is fairly quiet, though we did hear some noise in the square when the bars closed as some folks were singing. Tip: request an underground parking space when booking-a good 6 Euro expenditure.
