Poor

Unfortunately, my recent stay at Quema in Máncora was a very disappointing experience. This is especially sad because Quema used to be one of my favorite places to stay.
From the beginning, I felt uncomfortable with the service at reception. I was asked to pay more than another couple staying next to us, even though we were also two people and had a best type of accommodation (tripple). The situation was handled in a way that felt unfair and left a very bad impression. Finally I got the same price but I had to press to recepcionist.
The room also had a strong sewage smell, and unfortunately, the smell was noticeable even in the corridors leading to the rooms.
To make matters worse, I ordered ceviche at the hotel and it did not taste fresh. The lemon used seemed to be spoiled and gave the dish a very bitter taste, which was quite unpleasant.
It is honestly a shame because I used to have a very good opinion of this place and always considered it one of my favorites in Máncora. Sadly, after this experience, I would not choose to stay here again.
I hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously and improves these aspects, because it would be a shame to see a place I once loved lose the quality that made it special.

Fab staff and stunning views!

The dorm room was super spacious and clean and had everything you needed! Was the lushest dorm room I’ve ever stayed in! The pool is super lush with a fab view of the beach and sunset! The staff are super lovely and helpful, especially John who made sure we always had the best time! Would highly recommend!

A taste of luxury in Mancora

Such a lovely hotel that also has a hostel dorm. The staff were super friendly (especially John! We love you!). A good range of activities on offer, with the watersports having an excellent guide called Henry (also love you!) It’s not somewhere to stay if you want quiet as there is music all day and until late. The wifi is also really bad but the rest of Qema makes up for that.
