LOCATION
Located in the Camino Real commercial zone, in one of the most established areas of San Isidro. The location is strategic for those who need to be in this area, although access can be complicated during weekdays and, especially, during office hours.
️ CHECK-IN
The formal process is quite automated and was quick. However, there was one detail that did not go unnoticed.
Upon mentioning that our reservation had been made through Booking, we perceived an evident change in the attitude of the front desk staff: from an initially friendly smile, it shifted to a more forced expression. It was not a problem that affected our stay, but it was a feeling that a hotel of this category should take care of.
️ ROOM
Spacious, comfortable room and, apparently, the same one we have known for many years. The positive aspect is that it is perfectly maintained, demonstrating adequate conservation work.
However, we found some details that reveal that it would be convenient to incorporate more technology and functionality:
* The desk is spacious, but it does not have adequate electrical connections to plug in a laptop or other computer accessories.
* Neither the desk nor the nightstand clock has USB-A ports, something that we currently consider basic in a hotel of this category.
These are not aspects that detract from the room, but they are clear opportunities for an upgrade.
HOUSEKEEPING
Impeccable.
The housekeeping work was up to what we expect from a hotel of this category: clean, tidy, and perfectly maintained room.
SERVICE
Here Swissôtel once again demonstrates why it maintains its prestige.
The general service was excellent. Friendly, professional staff who were always willing to resolve any issues that might arise during our stay.
BREAKFAST INCLUDED
The breakfast maintains the same quality as always, with a fairly complete offering.
We found hot tables with different dishes, especially highlighting the lomo saltado, in addition to a variety of breads, fruits, juices, hot drinks, a dessert table, and fondue, among other alternatives.
One point that does not quite convince us is that parking is not included. For a guest who arrives in their own vehicle and wishes to take their time to have breakfast, the cost of parking can end up being considerable in relation to the breakfast itself.
GASTRONOMY
The hotel has different gastronomic alternatives. During our stay, we visited La Locanda, which has a Mediterranean proposal.
The restaurant offers a formal, elegant, and very well-kept atmosphere, accompanied by exceptional service.
We want to especially highlight Clara, who, upon noticing that we could not find an alternative to our liking, had the kindness to offer us a delicious pasta that was not on the menu.
That type of personalized attention is precisely what makes the difference in an establishment of this category.
FACILITIES
Elegant, formal, and well-maintained.
Swissôtel maintains that classic and sober style that has characterized it for years. We did not find significant novelties in terms of design, but we did find a very good state of conservation and maintenance.
PARKING
This is one of the points that we consider least favorable.
When arriving in your own vehicle, the parking is shared with other hotel services. From there, the walk to the lobby is quite long and we did not find assistance to transport luggage.
The system seems to be designed primarily for those who arrive at the front of the hotel and use the valet parking.
Another aspect that causes some inconvenience is that parking is not included in the accommodation rate. As an alternative, a flat rate of S/ 30 for 24 hours is offered, which is reasonable if you stay all day, although we still consider that it should be included in the service for guests.
WIFI
Very good.
The connection worked correctly during our stay, both in speed and stability.
CHECK-OUT
Here we did perceive a positive difference compared to the check-in.
The service was very friendly and efficient. The information was updated in the system and the statement of account was offered in both digital and printed format.
A fast, orderly, and uncomplicated process.

Swissôtel remains a safe bet for those looking for a high-class hotel, with excellent service, spacious and well-maintained rooms, good gastronomy, and a breakfast that maintains its standard.
Our experience was very positive, although we found some aspects that should be modernized, especially the room connectivity and the parking system.
We also believe that the guest experience should be exactly the same regardless of the channel used to make the reservation. In our case, the perception during check-in was not the best.
Even so, the final balance is clearly favorable: a hotel that maintains its standard and demonstrates that the experience does not depend solely on the infrastructure, but also on the quality of its service.

Totally recommended
Since we arrived, they made us feel very good thanks to the kindness of all the staff. During our stay, because it was Fiestas Patrias, we realized that the hotel was hosting important guests, since there was a significant security deployment at the reception. Even so, at no time did we feel that this affected the attention we received. The whole team was very kind and attentive to us, making us feel just as important and welcome. I want to especially thank the bellhop, Mr. Henry, who was very nice to us and, above all, to my son. He practically gave him a tour of the hotel, which made our little one enjoy the experience even more. I also want to highlight the kindness of the young lady at the Spa (unfortunately I do not remember her name). Both responded with great patience and affection to all of my child's questions and comments. We were assigned a Business Suite, very spacious, comfortable, and perfect for our family of three. Also, the chocolate cake deserves a 20/20: simply delicious! The breakfast buffet was also excellent, with a great variety of options, everything very well presented and of excellent quality.
Without a doubt, it was a very pleasant experience. I will definitely return!

Outdated - Unwelcoming
While this hotel has a stunning exterior and lovely architecture, the experience inside was a major disappointment. The rooms are extremely outdated, and our bathroom had a persistent mildew smell — as if it had been mopped with a sour mop.
The staff were unfriendly and, at times, downright snobby. No one greeted us when we drove up, and the front desk was neither welcoming nor helpful. When I noticed there was no tea or creamer at the in-room coffee station and asked for some, the clerk refused to assist and told me to order from room service.
At checkout, no one asked how my stay was — it was clear she simply didn’t care. Staff frequently corrected guests in an abrupt manner. For example, when I tried to take a photo of the pool and pushed open the patio door, I was immediately yelled at to walk through the building instead — even though I was fully dressed, not in a swimsuit.
All in all, beautiful structure, but the lack of warmth and hospitality makes this hotel feel unwelcoming from start to finish. I would not recommend staying here.

Family of 5?
Staff at the hotel was incredibly kind and friendly. It was one of the few hotels that accept us (being a family of 5) without overcharging crazy rates. And the children’s room connected to our suite was absolutely lovely.

You have a great time
I went to the La Fondue restaurant at the Swissotel, a very special place to go with a partner, with family or with friends, the staff is the best and the food is delicious. It is worth it.
