Good stay

The place is very warm, if you need something or have any problem, they look to solve it anyway, they have different types of rooms for families, fairly affordable prices, cleanliness and good quality sheets, has large garage and the hotel is quite cute, has elevator and the rooms have desks if you want to work

Excellent place

We went with the family and the experience was the best as the staff is friendly and always prioritize to solve any inconvenience, the rooms are very comfortable but it is preferable to make a reservation in advance as availability usually runs out the location of the place is ideal, it is close to the most important places of the city and offer very good quality breakfast

If you stay here PAY first or use Booking.com

We had read good reviews of this place and so decided to stay here for a few nights while we were in Juliaca. I checked the price on Booking.com and then we drove to the hotel to check out the parking. After the lady showed us that we could park our car in a locked workshop area I asked her how much per night and she told me $25 USD, which was cheaper than Booking.com so we checked in.
The room was okay, very basic, which was fine. The room was cold and we asked for a heater, which they brought up, but it didn’t help much. There was only got water in the showers in the evenings, so they probably have solar water heat. Breakfast was included and okay. Watch out for the floors, as they are extremely slippery.
The issues came when we went to check out - a different man was manning the desk and said that we owed $109 USD instead of $75. I asked him if he could contact the lady so I could talk to her and he outright refused. I tried to explain and showed him on a currency converter what we should be paying and he insisted on $109, and we could not get our vehicle. Finally we just agreed to pay because we had no other option, and then the man said that I had to pay cash, even though they have signs everywhere that they accept visa, and the lady told me I could pay with visa. At that point I lost it and insisted on paying with a card, because we couldn’t get money out of the ATMs here for some reason, and so he called somebody else to come process the payment. This man rallied up the cost and changed it from 360 soles to 380 soles, so now we were paying even more.
We hate to give bad ratings but we can not recommend this hotel. The one thing we don’t like is to be taken advantage of, and we feel like they did that here. If you can book online and pay through Booking.com then it isn’t a terrible place to stay.

A very nice hotel with very friendly stuff

As we entered Juliaca we were afraid of what we will see at the booked hotel.
That was all in our minds, the rooms are clean and spacious enough for 2 persons and very clean.
The stuff from the hotel, I must say, exemplary kindness and good intent!
I recomand this hotel to anybody that wants to visit Titicaca or other places in the region and chooses Juliaca!

Una muy buena sorpresa

Ha sido un placer estar en el Rayos de Sol. El servicio ha sido inmejorable, la situación está muy bien y todo estaba muy limpio y cuidado. Descanse muy bien y disfrute de una buena ducha caliente. 100% recomendable!! Si vuelvo a Juliaca volveré al Rayos de Sol!! Muchas gracias por todo!!
