Very nice place, better than expected

I went on vacation to Peru but seperated a week to go to Cajamarca to visit. I reserved this hotel by recommendation of a few Peruvian friends. Everything was okay and the best part was it's location. It is in the center of everything. Just a few minutes walk from the Plaza de Armas. The price includes the breakfast, which was rather inclusive for a hostel. The breakfast was very good. I very much enjoyed my stay here. Definitely recommend!

Good and bad things here

Good security, very clean rooms however they are super small and especially for the price....100 soles for 2 single beds. 15 minutes from main bus station....10 soles.
Includes b/f too however if you are getting an early bus which most of them are you will forfeit b/f as it isnt till 8am from memory

Comfortable, clean, friendly, and good location.

stayed here for about a week for work, and I had travelled alone. It became a home away from home, as the staff were great - super friendly and attentive. If there was anything I needed, they were quick to provide it, and even helped me set-up a kind of office/work space for the week.
Rooms are clean and the one I had was spacious, with a new flat-screen TV with cable. Good clean bathrooms, with extremely hot water. On the roof, they have solar heated water that is then kept hot in electricity-powered tanks - so there is always hot water.
Breakfasts were good - fresh fruit and juices, eggs, good bread, local butter and cheeses, etc. They even went out and bought me yogurt and granola and made a fruit salad, as I'd mentioned that was my standard breakfast back home. Real coffee would be nice though, as an option instead of instant.
The location is great, just steps from the Plaza de Armas. A downside of that is that it is on a fairly busy street, so if you have a street-side room you'll probably be up early. But by Peruvian noise standards it was fine, and the street-side room gets some good early sun - the sun would poor through the bathroom window in the morning while I showered - great for those cold mountain mornings!

Good location but noisy.

We stayed one night in this hotel. It is very conveniently located near the Plaza. The room was clean enough, but the windows aren't very well insulated for sound and the street noise prevented us from getting a good night sleep.
Breakfast was the standard Nescafe, little Peruvian breads, jam and butter. They would have prepared eggs for us if we'd wanted.
The staff was friendly. They would only take cash for payment.

a very cozy place

Valle del Inca is a very cozy place, you don't feel you are in a hotel. Incredible homemade breakfast in a very peaceful environment. People who work in this place are very kind, honest and friendly. The manager is very helpful and knowledgeable of her work. She accommodated my entire family and everybody was happy.
Prices are very affordable! :o)
I would recommend this place with my eyes shut
