An amazing beach vacation

Our stay at the Four Elements Hotel on Contadora Island (Panama) was first-class, from the moment they picked us up at the ferry terminal until our last day on the island. Since the island is so small and the options for accommodation are so limited, we didn't have high expectations for the hotel, or for the island and so, we were relieved that our concerns were erased the moment we stepped through the gate of the beautiful and peaceful space of the Four Elements. Our room was beautiful, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the staff and management at the Four Elements (with a special mention to Martín and Grace) were helpful, courteous, friendly, and committed to making our stay as enjoyable as possible. While there isn’t a formal restaurant space at the Four Elements yet (one will be completed soon), breakfast was cooked daily and we ordered and enjoyed two dinners cooked on site for us. And don’t forget to order cocktails!
We are a retired couple who have traveled all over the world and have made our home in western Panama. We have traveled much of Panama and our stay at the Four Elements ranks at the top of our list of favorite destinations.
(Please note that there is some construction noise coming from a project nearby that may bother some people over the next few
months, but it didn't bother us at all, and the hotel did everything it could to minimize the disruption— including providing ear plugs at our bedside. We never needed to use them.)

We came to celebrate our anniversary and were not sure given the only review that was negative. To the contrary A+++

Fraud

The place looks amazing in pictures and social media. The place is not well
Maintained but, they try. The place doesn’t have an actual beach you can even walk around or even try to get in. It’s just rocks, lists of trash in the sand and just horrible. The staff is super nice and tried to do anything on their power out of embarrassment because they know that people don’t do much money for the place. Super overpriced for what they have! It’s ridiculous! The manager lied and told me that the beach was dirty due to the weather, all the beaches in the island are beautiful but the beach here is terrible because there is no beach just rocks. This is unacceptable! The manager also told me that he was going to come himself and speak to me in person. He didn’t then when I asked him, he told me that since his staff was taking care of me he didn’t think he needed to come! Insane! Do not waste your time or money coming here.I even had spiders in my bed!
