Welcoming and great atmosphere at Southern Sun Maputo

The hotel staff we very helpful in all aspects of my stay. The shuttle service team went out of their way to make sure that my bag which had not arrived was followed up on several occasions at the airport until it was brough to the hotel on the last day of my stay.

A Wonderful Stay at Southern Sun Maputo

We had a wonderful stay at Southern Sun Maputo. The hotel is beautiful, comfortable, and well located, with friendly and professional staff who made my stay enjoyable. The rooms were clean, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the overall service was excellent.

Very poor value for money.

This hotel, located on the beach, seems to take full advantage of its reputation and its pool.
For €150 a night, a tasteless room with shortcomings unworthy of this type of establishment: reading lights that did not work, no glasses other than the toothbrush glass, air conditioning impossible to adjust, bedroom-bathroom door with louvers and therefore providing no privacy, etc.
The well-stocked breakfast does not save the overall rating.
There must be much better in Maputo for that price.

First time in Mozambique, glad I stayed here.

This is by far the best place I have stayed in Africa, I have been to at least 5 different countries in Africa and this hotel has been the best. The rooms are quaint, clean and have everything you need for a quality stay. Both the dining areas and bar are very comfortable and inviting. Best part is, it is on the water.
I will recommend and would stay there again.

Training Conference Bliss

The staff was the most friendly and accommodating I have ever experienced. I have years of experience I. The hospitality industry, and the Southern Sun Maputo has set the bar higher than any I have experienced in my travels to Europe and Africa.
The food was phenomenal. Ambiance is calm and inviting. Housekeeping staff is attentive and clean. The view on the bay is second to none. 5/5. Must stay!
