HOSTAL BUCERIAS

Everything was ok. Free breakfast. Clean. Thanks! Very close to the beach. They let you have beers inside the hostel. We meet nice people. Laundry facilities available for an exttra charge. Nice garden and roof top with ocean view

Worst place to stay

This is the crappiest place in a hot zone. The pictures are staged and don't reflect reality. Booked on Booking.com and they refused to refund and sanction them despite proof of fraud provided. Hostel said they had air conditioning. Arrived to find the AC only operates a limited time at night. What is displayed when booking is over ruled when you arrive. The lobby was 100F. No refunds. NEVER stay here.

Worst hostal experience

I had zero sleep while i was there. The nonstop booming traffic that goes by along the highway. The curtains don't cover the windows sufficiently so the refections from the vehicles through the gap. Dorm houses the workers so there is paying guests are staying in the workers quarters. The workers are on the phones, watching videos, playing on their phones, talking amongst themselves til wee hours. They should have a separate housing quarters for their workers and one for the guests. Owner doesn't seem to comprehend or care of guest service, nor care to train workers. The staff is uncaring and there was no orientation at all. Highly recommend other option. I selected this place bc a mexican girl recommended it. There is no security here. I did not feel safe. I had to move to a different location.

We are working on this review because the information provided is NOT REAL. 1) The curtains DOES cover the whole windows and have an excedent. They were made to the size (not bought at a store). 2) The volunteers have their own room on the 4th level so they DO NOT share room any more with clients sice 3 months ago. 3) The 2 volunteers DO NOT have cellphone right now (both are with broken phones since 1 month ago and 3 weeks the other one, and this a fact because the only communication with them is by the hostel home line and by person. So you either DID NOT talk to the other people to be able to know who the workers were before posting this review or this was done with a bad intention.

Awful place

It is right on the main freeway into Puerto Vallarta, so super noisy at night from truck and buses going past as well as booming noise from a stripclub across the road. Rude staff, not a good atmosphere. Avoid staying here.

Yes the building is over HIGHWAY 200 (the main road) as shows in the description and maps. The staff is NOT RUDE... you didn´t like that would ask you the leave the premises when the CHECK OUT time was already passed. Sorry for that. The hostel DID NOT charge you the LATE FEE showed in the regulation that you read at check in.

Direction with no heart

They stoled me 950 pesos.
You can see on the wall of this hotel mentions as "en esta casa :damos amor", "cometemos errores" "somos reales " but actually i found out that : when it is question of money, the direction as no heart.
We walk in at 12h30 to register 2 adults and a 4 years old child for a private room for 3 nights. They told us that they were giving us a better price because we were not passing thru an intermediate like Airbnb or Booking or Expedia. At 14h30, when we check in, we told them that we wanted to take only 2 nights instead of 3 because after verifying our flights back home was a day earlier that we tough. The girl at the reception was not able to help me, she showed me a phone number and i had to find my own way to contact the owner with my international cellphone problems.
Later that night, i had received no answer to my call and texto so i tried again with differents prefixes numbers. The owner finally texted her employee with big "angry emoticones" of the strict policy and to apply it.
The day after, looking to the prices on the desk, i have figured out that there price for 3 persons in a private room was 100 pesos less than we have been charged. So that was a lie, we paid more than the normal walk-in price.
Thirdly: notice that there is no hot showers

I am sorry but these are the house rates. If you book thought a website they charge commissions.
