Very disappointing – misleading pictures and poor value
Very disappointing – misleading pictures and poor value
Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was very disappointing. The pictures on the website do not accurately represent what you actually see when you arrive.
The hotel advertises a swimming pool, but in reality it is more like a small pond and is nothing like what we expected based on the pictures and description.
The breakfast was also very disappointing and, in our opinion, not sufficient for an adult. When we asked about the limited breakfast, the owner explained that this was a business decision intended to encourage guests to purchase lunch at the hotel’s restaurant. We found this extremely disappointing. It gave us the feeling that maximizing additional revenue was prioritized over providing guests with a satisfactory experience.
The owner initially comes across as very nice and welcoming, but unfortunately, our interactions left us with a very different impression. We felt that the hospitality was superficial and that the main priority was making money rather than ensuring that guests were comfortable and satisfied.
Overall, we felt that the hotel was misleading in its presentation and poor in value for money. The experience did not match what was advertised, and we would not recommend staying here.

Real relaxation
O bleu Azur Our stay in Nosy Be found a strategic point in the O bleu Azur hotel. Located in Ambaro on the west coast of the island is a few kilometers from Madirokely and Hell-Ville. The hotel overlooks the sea so much so that during high tide the waves touch the hotel ladder. The 4 of us stayed in two very large rooms overlooking the sea, equipped with a large terrace furnished with cozy sofas. The rooms have large windows, private bathroom, air conditioning, a double bed and a single, in short, everything you need to enjoy it. Another strong point of this hotel is the staff who were always very kind and helpful to our every request. At the reception we found Brusto a very intelligent guy who also speaks Italian facilitating communication with both the waiting staff and the kitchen helping us choose the dishes of the day. Unexpectedly the cook was also available to prepare extra menu dishes (with notice) and with great surprise we discovered that he can also cook spaghetti in the Italian way. The dining room consists of an open veranda a few steps from the beach equipped with large ceiling fans to mitigate the heat. Between the dining area and the beach there is a swimming pool with waterfall where you can cool off when at low tide the sea moves away considerably. Throughout the outdoor area there are sofas and deck chairs for rest, sunbathing or staying under a shady palm tree. Within the hotel there is a souvenir shop and a massage area that we obviously enjoyed with great pleasure. Outside the hotel a tuc tuc is always ready for every move. The boss is Lynda, a kind lady who in the preliminary stages of booking was able to give me exact directions and met our requests. Thank you, Lynda.

Exceptional stay!
I had an absolutely perfect time in this hotel. The welcome was warm and professional as soon as I arrived, which immediately put me at ease.
Many thanks to the managers who are simply outstanding: always available, attentive and concerned for the well-being of their customers. Their kindness and professionalism really make it feel like home. A special thank you to Lynda and Sylvain for their availability and great kindness.
The excursions offered are simply exceptional! Very well organized, with passionate and professional guides, they allow to discover beautiful landscapes and live unforgettable experiences in safety.
The hotel’s restaurant is also a real favorite: the meals are absolutely delicious, prepared with care and with quality products. Each dish is tasty and beautifully presented.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, warm welcome and unique experiences. I will return to it without hesitation!

Very positive
Not the hotel, but the restaurant tried and tried with great satisfaction - variety and imagination in the dishes very well cared for and of excellent quality - spartan insertions so much as to seem to be at home, but the dinners were all really good - the sunsets at 'aperitif sweeten the evening
