Value for money

Friendly staff upon arrival. A bit farther away from the center but when you have a car, it is no problem at all. The room was clean and spacious. It was nice to have a communal kitchen to prepare our own meals.

Cheap price for the cheap value

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, even had possibility to choose between pillows, the place is more convenient for travelers with a car, the owner was very nice and helpful - it's a good room for a cheap price, but there are some disappointments as well... The bathroom was not clean with a broken shower and spider webs on the ceiling, yet the towels were really clean and fresh, which I can not say about the bedding. Also, there are more rooms for rent, so you can hear all the neighbors who are not very polite and make noise even at night time on working days.

Satisfactory

The rooms here are clean and it's a good budget option. The downside of this Mara is that it is quite far from the centre of the city (minimum 30 minutes by bus). Mara is located next to the BIG shopping centre. This is a family run business and the mother and son are very friendly and are willing to answer questions. Payment must be in cash for your stay, they don't accept cards. There are no maps or other information provided, so be sure to grab them at the train station or airport. They will tell you to catch tram number 7 into the centre. This gets you in, but with many stops and can be quite uncomfortable in summer as it's so hot. Instead, take bus number 52A across the road from the BIG shopping centre. I made the mistake of catching Bus 53 back to Mara the first evening and the final stop is about 10 minutes walk from the shopping centre. I was disorientated and worried and thankfully some locals accompanied me to the shopping centre. Make sure you take various items like shampoo and soap with you as nothing is provided. These can easily be bought across the road at the shopping centre. In future, I would consider renting an apartment in Vilnius because they are around the same price or maybe a little bit more and some are situated close to the city centre.

Great apartment

A bit out of town but the trolley bus at the bottom of the street runs often and takes you right to the centre of the city and is cheap. The local supermarkets have a great variety of food and are close. The apartment is clean and fairly big. Owners live within the same building and are very helpful.

Хороший мини отель

Ну это больше не мини отель,ближе к квартире.Мы приезжаем уже второй раз в Вильнюс и останавливаемся в маре.Всё нравиться.За эти деньги всё устраивает.Хозяйка доброжелательная ,говорит по русски.Не далеко находяться магазины и торговый центр Акрополис.
