Uoichi ryokan solo experience!

Staying at the Uoichi Ryokan in Shimada was such a beautifull experience! I had an epic kaiseki-dinner, lots of different food to taste. Also a locally brewed beer! My room had a yukata that I wanted to wear for the dinner They also have a warm bath which was really great after a rainy day. The room that I stayed in was quiet and peacefull, equipped with AC, towels and even a thermos with hot water and some local green tea! Overall athmosphere in the ryokan was also very peacefull, calm and clean. The hosting family also helped me a lot with the neighbourhood: they recommended a great little sushi place for me and also sightseeing places like the legendary Horai-bridge (at the other end is also a forest route up to the hill where you can see Mount Fuji in a clear weather!) They also rented me a bike to make moving around more covinient. If I ever come back to the area, this ryokan is where I'll be staying. Thank you again ❤️

I'm thrilled with the meal!

The three of us came to see you and thank you very much for your help.
I was impressed by the historic buildings, the large rooms, the walk around the streets of Tokaido, the laid-back Shimada City? The onsen facilities were good, but the food was amazing. I also enjoyed the sake set!
The two women were also very happy to be able to touch the wonderfulness of Shimada City.

A special day of soothing food and warm hospitality

Delicious food, a relaxing and lovely space, and the warm hospitality of both of you made for an unforgettable birthday
Each dish was carefully prepared, and the atmosphere in the facility was cozy, making it a special time to heal both mind and body.
Above all, I was moved by their warm personality and meticulous care. I think it is a really nice inn where you can feel the warmth of people as well as the charm of accommodation.
This is a great place for important anniversaries and those who want to spend a relaxing time.
I'd like to visit you again in a different season.

The food is great

Thank you for your help when I went sightseeing in Yaizu. I was worried about communal toilets and baths, but as soon as I got there, that anxiety disappeared.
The toilets and baths had been neatly renovated and kept clean, and I didn't wear them with the others, despite only having a couple of rooms.
Above all, the food was delicious and the salt-grilled kinki was inspiring. There is also plenty of local sake to choose from, and I highly recommend that you enjoy your evening meal.
The rooms are small but beautiful, and the rest while watching the garden full of greenery is great
It is a very good inn where you can spend a relaxing time without a TV.
