Good hotel

The hotel is at a very good location, just opposite to Vishwanath Gali and very near to Dasashwamedh Ghat. We were 3 adults and lodged in a AC 3 bed room. It was clean but, apart from the bed there was only a very small table and a chair. We stayed for 3 nights and it was difficult to organize our clothes and belongings. The drawback of the hotel was that it did not have a restaurant. They only served tea and mineral water. So, everyday we had to venture, at least 3 times for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I booked the 3 bed room through website and paid the full amount. But on arrival we were told that we have to share bed which was not possible as we were 3 adults. I had to shell out 1500 more to avail the room of our choice whose picture was there on the portal. This is the only hitch we faced with the hotel. Otherwise the staff were cordial and helpful.

If you value your money, dont book room here. Dirty rooms and Staff talks like Goons(Rowdy's) after check in.

Booked 2 AC rooms for 2000 per night
1st room experience:
Cummord was leaking toilet from bottom everytime we are flushing and Room smelled like septic tank after using bathroom once.
They gave another room which smelled like toilet after turning on AC. Geezer ddint work here, asked manager for Geezer, he
spoke very rudely and mentioned Geezer is optional and will not work :(.
I shown him his room advertisement which mentions all features of the room, they he started arguing with us and coming for fight.
Just left the place without saying anything.
2nd room Experience:
Hotel team forget to clean the toilet, the cummord is in brown color(someone spit the Gutka) after entering the room, they
changed us to another room.
In the new room, AC didnt work :(.

Nice Room

It was good experience with gateway kailash. The room pretty small but its clean and its enough for two people. I had excellent check in experience. Front office staff were really helpful and they arranged a nice boat trip in the River Ganges. Thanks alot

Hotel Gateway Kailash - Feedback

Hello. This hotel is at a very good location, not river facing though.
Location - VERY GOOD. hardly 100mtrs to Dashashwamedh Ghat and opposite to the alley that leads to the Kashi Viswanath temple.
Room - small rooms with attached bathroom. OK place w.r.t to location. NO VENTILATION ( at least not in the room i stayed ). Hot water was not available, though geyser was installed. Housekeeping is poor, they do not change the sheets or clean the room, unless we request.
Since it is located at the middle of things, cab/taxi etc does not run till the hotel. We need to get down at main road, which is approx. 300mtrs away, and walk to the hotel.
In general, its a decent place to stay for a day or two.

Great but simple place

When you are backpacking, you look for a simple, clean place which is conveniently located with minimum impact on your pocket. This hotel comes very close to perfectly addressing the above points. In front of Kashi Vishwanath temple and 5 mins walk away from Dasashwamedh Ghat.
