Located in Ranchi, Hotel Lakefront is in the city center and on a lake. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Tagore Hill and Ranchi Lake, while Nakshatra Van and Rock Garden are popular area attractions. Horrible experience
They take your money claiming to be a 3-star property, but what you actually get is a filthy, haunted-looking room. Cockroaches roam freely, the bathroom has no latches, the sofas are torn, and the AC doesn’t work neither does the remote. The TV cable is cut, and they demand extra payment to "activate" it, essentially holding you at ransom for basic amenities.
The food they serve is ordered from Zomato, but they charge you extra for it. They even serve it with the Zomato tag half torn off, trying to pass it off as their own. There are no proper plates or spoons provided, showing a complete lack of basic hospitality and human decency. When a family member tried to speak with the staff about this, they rudely said, “Bahar se khana khaiye, itna nahi karenge aapke liye” (Go eat outside, we won’t do all this for you).
Is this how paying guests are treated? Are we fools to trust and pay them for a peaceful stay, only to be scammed?
This is not my first review my earlier one was deleted. Most of the positive reviews you see on Google are fake and paid. Don’t fall for them.
Do not trust the manager. You will be misled and disappointed.
If you want a clean, decent, and peaceful stay for yourself, your partner, or your family stay away from this place. It offers nothing but stress, discomfort, and regret.
