Wonderful and memorable
Beautiful and well maintained property. Special mention to Jithin, he is the photographer assigned by the property. He was spontaneous and helpful

Amazing Stay at Java Rain Resort – Thanks, Prathima!
Had a wonderful stay at Java Rain Resort! The resort was beautiful, peaceful, and well-maintained. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service throughout our visit. A special thanks to Prathima for her outstanding hospitality and support, which made our experience even more memorable. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!Thank you, Prathima!

Wow
Best location from Chikmaglur we enjoy good food and beverages and front office Prathiba get wonderful well come she is talk to friendly and staff was good totally i am saying Beautiful hospitality good rooms .worth for money .

Disappointing Experience at Java Rain Resorts Despite Beautiful Location and High Expectations
We had chosen Java Rain Resorts very eagerly after seeing the positive reviews online. We were celebrating our daughter’s 10th birthday, and prior to arrival, we had requested some basic arrangements like room decoration and a cake, which the resort had agreed to over email.
While we were on the way, we tried contacting the resort to ensure the arrangements were in place. The reservation team shared the front desk number, but despite multiple calls, nobody answered. Eventually, a lady answered and informed us they were very busy and short-staffed, and that she would call back — but we never received any callback.
On arrival, we were warmly welcomed and allotted a room. The room was spacious, but unfortunately it had a very strong pungent smell — almost like stale mop water, phenol, or the lingering smell after spilled milk. The floor was also extremely sticky, to the point where our shoes were making clicking sounds while walking. There was visible dirt accumulation in the room corners, and overall the room did not feel clean or appealing, especially considering the premium tariff being charged.
And yes the arrangements were not done as assured.
As it was lunchtime and we were hungry, we first went to the restaurant. There we discovered that the air conditioning was not functioning, and there were no fans or alternate cooling arrangements in place at that time. The lunch itself was manageable, but the experience of dining in the heat and humidity was very uncomfortable.
After lunch, we met the duty manager, Mr. Mithun, and explained all the issues. He informed us that coolers were available, though it was surprising that no proactive effort had been made earlier to arrange them for guests. To his credit, Mr. Mithun genuinely tried to help and offered us an upgraded room. However, the room shown to us had just been vacated and was not even cleaned yet. It too had a very strong unpleasant smell, for which no proper explanation could be given.
During our stay, we also interacted with a few other guests at the resort, and many of them expressed similar dissatisfaction with the overall service and maintenance. Some guests mentioned they were unhappy but felt helpless because they were not being offered refunds and were simply waiting for their trip to end. We also noticed that room service was either unavailable or extremely poor. In fact, we saw guests carrying their own food to their rooms because service support was lacking, which further reflected the overall management issues at the property.
After discussing among ourselves, we ultimately decided to check out from the resort. Mr. Mithun handled the situation professionally and kindly arranged a full refund for us, which was processed smoothly. I genuinely appreciate his understanding and efforts in resolving the matter respectfully.
The resort property itself is not bad, and the staff at the dining hall and front desk were polite and courteous. However, it appears that the management may not be paying enough attention to upkeep and maintenance anymore. The rooms, pool, and overall experience simply did not justify the pricing. At similar rates, there are far better maintained and more luxurious resorts available in and around Chikmagalur.
One additional point guests should note: the tourism checkpost is located right at the entrance to the resort area, so every day when you go out and return, you may need to pay the tourism entry fee again.
Overall, the experience was disappointing, especially considering this was meant to be a special birthday celebration for our daughter. We eventually had to check out and move to another resort.

Not a worthy experience
This Property is not Worth your Time/Energy/Money - It literally offers nothing and dont even provide quality food options for the premium they are charging and the AC is also not working properly . Only blessing in disguise is the effort of their staff
