A peaceful homely stay

Neves is a great host. Makes you feel at home quickly and the place feels like a home indeed. Peaceful stay where you wake up to birds chirping from the garden and flora around. Authentic Goan food from chef Maria was awesome too.

Peaceful location and home.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home! The location is amazing, and everything was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. A huge highlight was the in-house cook, Maria, who makes incredibly delicious local Goan food. We highly recommend this stay!

Peaceful Stay

Very peaceful place on Divar Island. We stayed in the family house that has a very rustic vibe. It was very clean, neat and good value for money. The owner Neves was very friendly. And the food by Maria was amazing

Hidden Gem of a stay!

We went there for just a night but surely craved for more! Neves is an excellent host who is full of life. The place feels like home not a normal one but a mansion! It’s a great place if you are looking for some peace, there are niche activities that you can do which is one of the coolest things we have done. Overall loved the experience and the property, will surely be visiting you often Neves! Dev Borem Karu Patrao!

A quiet fulfilling life...

A peaceful visit (similar to a farmstay in a lovely heritage cottage with basic amenities available). The host provides a plethora of information just on making an inquiry.
The stay was good and we met our objectives of alternately relaxing and visiting a lot of nearby places especially Mayem Lake.
The room was good. It is a good room except for the lack of a mirror. It's a shared (divided by ply) room within the house and two common ACs that the host is kind and understanding enough to turn on even when the other room isn't occupied. A good room overall.
It is decent value and the host provides a list of dos and don'ts and printed guidelines provided in every room that will help you understand some guidelines and facilities available.
All activities/extras are chargeable and over and above the room tariff, and the details are provided in a separate document by the host including a "Things to do in Divar" that will help you extract the value you want from your stay.
Thee entire estate is exceptionally clean and tidy, and the host requests you maintain the same level of cleanliness and not litter the estate. Do NOT pluck the fruits, and there are signs to remind you everywhere.
Divar island is quiet. Literally. It's a small community with their own busy lives but the island life is slow overall. You will have to depend on the host for activities (mud bath, prepared dinner with host regaling you with stories etc) otherwise Narve side has a few exciting things to experience, especially boating and bungee jumping at Mayem Lake.
The highlight is the host, Mr. Neves, who tends to be garrulous and by-the-book, but also ensures you face no issues when it comes to having a peaceful and tension-free stay, to the best of his abilities.
Do note that while it is a beautiful estate and you'll have a good experience, it is best to travel with your own personal vehicle here.
