Hotel with restaurant with stunning views

We stayed 2 nights at Hotel Roc e Mare in Propriano. Room was neat and modern with balcony and fantastic views over the sea and the harbor of Propriano. Hotel has no swimming pool, but a private beach. Near this beach is also a small restaurant Paillote Roc e Mare which is really worth a recommendation. Small scale with a small menu, but everything is fresh and deliciously prepared. I had a charcuterie beforehand and delicious prawns for the main course. For dessert the tarte tartin, also very tasty!

I checked in for less than 5 minutes. My first sensation when I walked into the bedroom was the terrible smell of sweaty people. So I checked the bedsheets, and I was terrified to see how many stains were covering them. I'm not even sure the duvet has ever met a washing machine.
For me, it was simply impossible to stay.
I went to the lobby to complain, and they offered me another room. The smell was much better, but when I checked the pillows... it was a definite no. One was a dirty shade of white, and the other was a beautiful shade of yellow, courtesy of all the previous sweaty nights.
I politely asked for a refund, which was refused—without much surprise. As the front desk agent explained, even though the pillow was yellow, he personally couldn't smell anything... Apparently, that's the new standard for cleanliness.

Outdated hotel with nice views

Stayed 3 nights here during a tour.
Positive is the beautiful view and the private beach.
The hotel itself is very outdated and in great need of renovation. Furniture from the 1960s. Rooms noisy. We heard the neighbor snoring at night..
But air conditioning and also a balcony. No mini fridge or tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
Breakfast meagre. There is yogurt/granola/juice/croissant. But in terms of bread, 3 pieces of (tough) baguette are always laid out and when a person comes in to have breakfast, 1 croissant is laid out.
The view makes up for a lot, but I will take another hotel next time

At the beginning of May, the hotel roc e mare is ideally located in Propriano, enjoying a privileged location with an unobstructed view of the Gulf of Valinco.
The sea view rooms are well maintained, comfortable and functional, with services in line with expectations. The bedding is quality and cleanliness impeccable.
Breakfast is satisfying, served in a pleasant environment with sea views, which reinforces the overall experience.
Special mention for the hospitality and professionalism of the team, available and efficient throughout these two working days.
In summary, an establishment that combines quality of location, comfort and quality of service, perfectly adapted to a clientele seeking calm and authenticity in Corse-du-Sud.
