Fantastic value for money
Fantastic budget hotel with a great breakfast! Pool area nice and clean, rooms great.. can’t fault it. Top floor balcony’s are exceptional, 2 sun loungers and electric canopy.

When I booked Hotel El Cid, I was a little apprehensive because it is a one star hotel and I normally like staying in luxury hotels. A friend recommended it and said everyone loved it, so I decided to give it a chance. I am so glad I did because it has genuinely become one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.
From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was so welcoming. The staff on reception could not do enough for you and always greeted you with a smile. The hotel has such a relaxed, friendly vibe and everyone around the pool was lovely. It was so easy to switch off and enjoy the holiday.
The breakfast, which was included in the price, was excellent with plenty of choice. During the day they even put out fresh lemonade and croissants for guests to help themselves to, which was such a thoughtful touch.
The rooms were cleaned every single day to a really high standard. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was very much appreciated in the Spanish heat, and having a lovely balcony made the room even better.
One thing that really impressed me was what they offered after checkout. My flight was in the evening, so after checking out at midday I was able to leave my suitcase securely at the hotel. Even better, they have a dedicated shower room where you can freshen up before heading to the airport. I have stayed in five star hotels that do not even offer this, so for me that was a huge bonus and made my journey home so much more comfortable.
The only tiny criticism I could make is that there was no hairdryer in the room. Luckily I had bought one while I was in Spain, so it really was not an issue.
Overall, this hotel completely exceeded every expectation I had. It proves that star ratings do not always reflect the experience you will have. The friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, spotless rooms, great breakfast and thoughtful little touches made this an unforgettable stay. I would return without hesitation and will happily recommend Hotel El Cid to anyone visiting Sitges.

Old, basic and dirty hotel
Old and basic hotel but in a good location in Sitges.
Check in was easy and fast, reception staff member was friendly and explained the hotel nicely.
Our room was an attic room, very very basic and old and dated. Furniture and equipment barely worked.
Breakfast was in a large old room with eggs, bacon, beans, breads, cereals etc. Quality of the food and layout was very poor.
Cleaning was daily; but the cleaners were the nosiest cleaners we've ever encountered... from 8am in the morning the banging, shouting at each other and slamming doors was a disgrace. Upon check out, I mentioned it to the receptionist and he smiled and started laughing, no apology or an acknowledgment.
I would not recommend anyone staying in this hotel.

Great budget hotel, in a good location in Sitges (easy walk from either train or bus& main supermarket [5min] and Sitges main beach [10min]). Clean rooms, lift & decent breakfast all for a reasonable price. Nice swimming pool.

Excellent budget hotel in great location
Pretty much echoing everyone else’s reviews. Great place to stay in Sitges. Clean, comfortable with a good breakfast with good aircon and a lift. 5mins easy walk from either the train station or bus stop. 10mins to the main beach. We stayed in Rm316 (which is actually on the 4th floor?) and had a large rooftop balcony. Didn’t have a jug but that seems standard in Spain. Staff were pleasant and helpful and there is a laundromat just across the road. Major supermarket is just 5min walk by the train station.
