Great central hotel with friendly staff!

Honestly I typically never stay in hostels, but decided to give this one a try because of the location and the private room with 3 beds. We absolutely loved it. It’s a cute hostel in the perfect location. It was a 5 min walk from the metro. The room was super clean and comfortable for 3 adults. The staff was accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend!

Super centrally located hotel.
Clean, friendly staff. Possibility to store luggage before check in and after check out.
Rooms in average size.
I don’t know if it was a temporary problem but the shower water wasn’t hot.
Recommended for location and cleanliness.

Limited amenities due its nature, but very convenient: well placed next to Puerta del Sol, which is great for dining, transportation, night live, shopping.
Good and affordable breakfast with a surprising buffet with ample choices.
Comfortable and clean room.

​Subject / Review Title: Disappointing Experience: Arbitrary Eviction and Lack of Respect for Senior Travelers
​Review Text:
​I am writing this to express my deep shock at the treatment I received at TOC Hostel Madrid (Booking Code: 26050652293). As a 60-year-old professional journalist and a seasoned traveler who has visited over 30 countries, I have never encountered such unprofessional behavior.
​I had a confirmed booking from May 8th to May 11th. My only "offense" was politely inquiring about Halal food options to respect my dietary requirements. Not only was I met with a rude response regarding a simple request for a cup of tea and an apple, but the management subsequently terminated my reservation and forced me to vacate the premises immediately without any valid legal or safety justification.
​Evicting a guest of my age and background over a dietary inquiry is a grave violation of basic hospitality standards and felt like an act of discrimination. It is deeply humiliating to be treated this way after paying in full for a service.
​I have officially requested the "Hoja de Reclamación" to document this incident with the Spanish Tourism Authority. I expect a formal apology and an immediate full refund for the nights I was not allowed to stay.
​I strongly advise fellow international travelers, especially seniors, to be aware of how guests are treated here.
