Nice apartment

Beautiful, spacious, clean apartment with beautiful mountain views. Contact with the landlord went smoothly and well. Near the center, where there are all kinds of eateries.
A coffee table would make it totally perfect.

A great stay in a magnificent town!!

Wow, what a beautiful place Cuenca is, and there is no better way to see it than from a stay at this lodge. We were expertly check in and stay in apartment A, upstairs with a great view from our living room and bedroom. Great cooking facilities with an oven, also a large refrigerator and great Wi-Fi and big comfy bed. If you are arriving in Cuenca from the train station, take the L1 bus to Plaza De Mayor, which will drop you 400 meters short of the lodge....fare is €2.15 each. You can then catch a L2 bus (fare €1.25) from Plaza De Mayor for 2 stops and it will just about be outside the lodge. Or you can walk it, but it is up hill all the way....but the paths aren’t too bad.
Anyway, I can highly recommend a stay here...great price and we both loved our 2 night stay. And the walks are spectacular!!!

Great location - spotlessly clean

Our room was a one bedroom apartment at the top of the building over looking the river and gorge. The kitchen area is fully equiped (including dish washer and washing machine), the bathroom is well appointed and the living/ dining is very comfortable. There is air-conditioning through out the apartment. The whole place is spotlessly clean.
On arrival, you collect the key from a nearby restuarant outstide of which there is free parking. Laura was very helpful and speaks good English. She also sent us tourist information electronically.

Great find!

Very modern and very clean apartments with stylish interior. Aircon, wifi, laundry machine, equipped kitchen etc. Location is in the top part of the old city (exactly where you want to be) with big free parking 150m away. There is plenty of space next to the entrance to unload your luggage before parking. There is NO free parking in the rest of the old city. Stunning views (including the bridge and hanging houses) and nature walks right at the Lodge's doorstep. Very friendly and helpful staff. A few excellent restaurants just 100-200 m away, all with views on the surroundings. A small shop just 3 doors down from the lodge. Old city centre and cathedral about 5-10 minutes walk, also more restaurants and bars (also open in the morning for breakfast) on the plaza, hanging houses and bridge (best views of the hanging houses) another 5-10 minutes, all depending on your level of fitness. Highly recommended!

Alizaque Lodge, Cuenca, Spain

My wife and I recently stayed at Alizaque Lodge for four nights during mid-May. There are so many positives associated with our stay. First, the warm welcoming by Laura and Rosa set the tone for the stay. Add to that the incredible views of the Rio Júcar gorge and the perfect location of the lodge itself provided a wonderful foundation for our stay. It would be difficult to find a better location from which to enjoy the old city, the fabulous museums, nearby restaurants, the Plaza Mayor, and hiking trails to satisfy whatever level of difficulty a hiker would want to choose. For me, visiting one of the museums, enjoying an afternoon eating and having wine in the Plaza Mayor, stopping at Bar Jovi for an evening wine and tapa, and then strolling back to Alizaque Lodge to enjoy the long range views and peaceful stay makes for an excellent evening. I also want to point out that the Lodge offers a full compliment of appliances for an extended stay: full kitchen, washer, individual air conditioning, tv, Internet, etc. In other words, it has it all for an excellent price.
