The staff is Amazing . . . And . . .
This is only our experience that I am relating, It does not mean the hotel is good or bad just our experience :
We had an 8 day stay, (my opinion) this Ibis hotel is not made for that. This is a hotel for 1 or 2 night stay.
Overall, the rooms are "European style" on the very smaller side. Storage is at a premium, there is no closet and no drawers. We lived out of our suit cases.
The beds were super comfortable and plenty of pillows. The bathrooms are a good size. The AC worked great, super cold air on demand! Loved it. Even though they moved us to across from the elevators, we could not hear any noise. Each room had a safe and iron which we did use daily. Room was cleaned daily and new towels and linens supplied. "Maid" service was great; cleaned nicely and did a great job.
On our arrival the 1st room they gave us smelled of cigarette smoke. It was bad, real bad - headache bad. Went down to ask for another room, and thankfully they did have one. Thank You Night Staff!
Nights 2-8 were uneventful. Other than the occasional electricity going off to the entire building and just our building.
Location, the area seem to be on the safer side for tourist. I like the elevator security need a room key always. Lobby security was good also.
Food: Breakfast was ok. Not my favorites. But they did have plenty on hand, never ran out of items. And they have some local breakfast favorites. The scrambled Eggs were always runny. So I had to kinda scoop around till I found some solid pieces. Coffee was the best! Plenty of beverages all around. Breads and cereals too. We had lunch and dinner there too. Ummm, its hotel food. Ill leave it at that.
One of our friends had drinks nightly, and they are not stingy with the alcohol.
Staff went above and beyond expectations, they took care of a full hotel being pulled in all directions but always seemed to make it work. Thank You, especially dining/food area staff! Outstanding.

Total disappointment
My experience at the restaurant of the Ibis Hotel was very disappointing. We had a reservation for 1:30 p.m., but upon arrival, there was absolutely no parking space, neither inside nor outside the hotel. We consulted with the guard, and he indicated that they could do nothing and that we should look for parking on our own. Between finding public parking and returning to the hotel, approximately 20 minutes passed.
Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were informed that, despite having a confirmed reservation, there was no food available. We requested to speak with the restaurant manager to explain what had happened, but their attitude was completely unprofessional. Instead of listening to our situation, they responded that it was not their problem, that we should have arrived earlier, turned around, and walked away while we were still speaking, leaving us speechless.
Subsequently, I went to the front desk to file a complaint, and the response was that they could do nothing, that the manager did not handle such cases, and that I could only leave my complaint through a form.
A reservation should guarantee the availability of service, especially when the hotel itself does not provide a solution for parking. Beyond the inconvenience, the most regrettable aspect was the lack of empathy, poor service, and little interest in resolving a problem caused by circumstances beyond our control. Definitely, an experience I would not recommend and that leaves much to be desired in terms of customer service.

Good Visit, and solid onsite restaurant
For a recent business trip, I stayed at Ibis Quito, and it ended up being exactly what I needed.
The location is a big plus. It sits right near La Carolina Park, which is kind of the central business area of Quito. If you have meetings in that part of the city, it’s very convenient. I was able to walk to the office I was visiting in about 10 minutes, which made the whole trip easy.
The hotel itself is clean, modern, and very functional. It’s not a luxury property, but it’s not trying to be. It’s a solid, no-frills business hotel that delivers on the basics. The rooms are on the smaller side, but well laid out and very well maintained. Everything felt new and well-kept.
One thing I really appreciated was the ability to control the temperature in the room. That’s not always a given in Quito, especially in older hotels, so having a thermostat made the stay much more comfortable.
A pleasant surprise was the restaurant. I ended up eating dinner there both nights, which I don’t usually do at hotel restaurants. The food was genuinely good. I tried the ceviche both nights, and it was excellent, and the steaks were very well done. The picanha in particular stood out, and I would recommend it over the New York strip. Service was attentive and consistent, and it made for an easy, relaxed end to the day without needing to go back out.
The staff overall were friendly and helpful, and the hotel had a comfortable, easygoing feel to it.
If you’re traveling to Quito for business and need to be near the financial district or La Carolina Park, this is a great option. If you’re visiting purely as a tourist, you might look at staying closer to Old Town for a different experience, but for business travel this hotel works really well.

Hotel or nightclub?
It seems the hotel forgets that it is a lodging establishment rather than an event center. They are totally unaware of the city’s noise control regulations and hide behind the fact that the area is surrounded by nightclubs that operate until 2:00 am, equating their operation to such an establishment. They prioritize a party over the tranquility and rest of their guests, which is regulated in the agreement 20150024A of the city, which states that within the obligations of the hotel is to respect the maximum limits of stable noise by the competent authority. The “solutions” provided by the reception only inconvenience the guest.
In addition, in their statements they say that the menu 24 hrs would be available from 21:00h on December 26, but the receptionist says that around the time they will be available an hour and a half later.
The TV works with internet that is of terrible quality that does not allow to see anything without constant interruptions.
