A 4-Star Hotel with 5-Star Service

We have had the most incredible family holiday, and I honestly cannot thank everyone at the hotel enough for making it so special. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, every single member of staff made us feel genuinely welcome.
Before we even arrived, our Suninternational representative, Mohammed Alkady, contacted the Executive Head Chef to explain that I have coeliac disease. From that moment on, I knew I was in safe hands. Chef Henny was simply outstanding. Every morning at breakfast and every evening at dinner, he came to find me personally, talked me through what was available and prepared a separate meal just for me. As someone with coeliac disease, eating abroad is usually the most stressful part of a holiday, but Chef Henny completely took that worry away. Nothing was ever too much trouble.
He even prepared packed lunches for me on the days we went on excursions so I could enjoy the trips without worrying about finding safe food. That level of care is something I have never experienced before, and it honestly made our holiday. There was also another chef in the breakfast restaurant who cooked my omelettes fresh every morning using separate equipment to avoid any cross-contamination. Unfortunately, I didn't catch his name, but he absolutely deserves recognition for the care and attention he showed every single morning.
The food throughout the hotel was fantastic, with so much choice and excellent quality. Knowing I could eat safely meant I was able to completely relax and enjoy our holiday.
Although the activity pool looked like great fun with fantastic entertainment throughout the day, we chose to spend most of our time by the second pool because we wanted a quieter, more relaxing atmosphere. That was made even better by Yousef at the second pool bar. He was absolutely brilliant. He always made sure we had music to enjoy, kept us hydrated without us even having to ask and constantly checked that we were happy. He genuinely went above and beyond his role and made every day by the pool even more enjoyable.
The lifeguards were fantastic too. They loved joining in with the banter, especially teasing us about our English accents, which gave us all a good laugh. At the same time, they never once took their eyes off the pool. Their professionalism was clear to see, and during our stay we even witnessed one of them rescue a father and son from the water. It was reassuring to know such a dedicated team was always watching.
In the Terrace Bar, Tamer quickly became one of our favourite members of staff. He was always laughing with us and loved winding my husband up, which became part of our evening entertainment. It felt like chatting with friends rather than staff, and those little moments made our holiday even more memorable.
We also have to mention Alix and his team at the Vitamin Bar. They were always so friendly and welcoming, serving delicious fresh juices with a smile every single day. They were a pleasure to chat to and really added to our holiday experience.
To be honest, every single person we met was incredible. The waiters, bar staff, housekeeping, cleaners, lifeguards, gardeners and every other member of the team worked so hard and always greeted us with a smile and a cheerful "Good morning." Their friendliness never felt forced—they genuinely cared that everyone was having an amazing holiday. It is very rare to stay somewhere where every single member of staff leaves such a lasting impression, but that's exactly what happened here.
We did have one small issue when we arrived as one of the beds was missing from our room. However, it was resolved within the hour without any fuss. As an apology, the hotel kindly offered us a complimentary late check-out before our late evening flight home, which made such a difference and was a thoughtful gesture that we really appreciated.
A special mention also has to go to our Suninternational representative, Mohammed Alkady. He was absolutely brilliant throughout our stay, always available to answer questions, recommend places to visit and explain exactly what we needed for our trips. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and his advice helped us make the most of our holiday.
We booked both the Sahara Park excursion and the All in One boat trip through him, and both were fantastic experiences. The Sahara Park trip was unforgettable. We knew the desert would be hot, but nothing prepares you for just how intense the heat is! The quad bikes and dune buggies were incredible fun, and although the camel ride was a little scary, it was definitely something we'll always remember.
The All in One boat trip was equally amazing. The crew made the whole day so enjoyable, from the banana boat rides and snorkelling to visiting the stunning Orange Bay with its crystal-clear water and white sandy beaches. It was one of the highlights of our holiday.
Thank you to every single member of staff for making our holiday so special. The service, hospitality, kindness and genuine care we experienced were second to none. We arrived as guests and left feeling like family.
We will treasure the memories we've made here and will absolutely be returning. If you're considering booking this hotel, don't hesitate. This is a wonderful 4-star hotel that delivers service far beyond what we expected. It was the people who made this holiday unforgettable, and we cannot wait to come back.

Try if you have no other option

Went on 1st family holiday to celebrate mine and my wifes 40th anniversary,
Greeted at main entrance by porters who happily helped with our cases, main reception not one smile from staff, no information given, after check in porter helped us to our rooms, obviously survive on there tips, room ok air con worked, then it started getting worse, had to walk entire lenghth of resort to get dinner as main restaurant was shut, second day went to pool met by really friendly lifeguards, they were the best of the staff all week, really looked after my wife as she has difficulties with walking, main restaurant was clean but food was awful and repetitive, ended up eating out all week even though we were fully inclusive, our room was on third floor so relied on the lifts, after day 3 lift broke, never got fixed, fortunately there was a second lift at the far end of the building, had to pay for wifi, no big deal but had to log in every hour or go to reception to get someone to fix the problem, overall not my best holiday yet will not return.

Very low quality with poor food

I apologise for the long review, but wanted to give a fair and comprehensive review based on my week with my 13 year old son.
ROOMS
Large twin room, 4th floor overlooking pool. Cleaned daily to an adequate standard and comfortable beds for a good sleep. Small square shower with fresh towels daily. No toiletries included and no iron in room, they can be requested at reception but very limited. Nice touch having fresh water in room daily with a fridge to keep in chilled. Air conditioning is also welcome and we left ours on daily so nice when coming back to room.
We stayed in block 17 which is pretty central to resort as it’s quite long from the reception building to beach. The lifts should be condemned and if you’re not comfortable with lifts you will be walking the steps as they have exposed cables and lots of clunking.
POOLS
2 large pools (3rd is closed due to on resort building works) with shallow and deep sections. Some smaller pools also with another water park area and lots of slides for all ages. The pools are a negative for me as the rowdy guests throw balls consistently from one end to the other hitting guests and the staff encourage the throwing. That said the staff are great with getting the sunbeds when required as the usual bed hoggers often reserve by 8am. That said we always managed to find some beds and all are in the shade under large parasols. There are a few drinks stations dotted around offering soft and alcoholic drinks. Also, the juice bar (additional charge) for me was a great choice. Half price when you buy bulk for the week and they deliver them to your bed. We purchased 30 drinks for about £52 and this includes milkshakes, fresh fruit smoothies and ice cream.
Fly’s are everywhere, they will do your head eventually.
BEACH
Nice little cove with very shallow water for some way and pebbles rather than sand. You can walk out on the pier and there is a swimming area at the end of the pier which is a better option.
ENTERTAINMENT
Terrible. Kids bouncing on stage until about 9.30 and then a poor DJ trying to get the crowd involved with conga lines. We seen plenty advertised on boards from 9.30 but nothing seemed to follow. Many people just sit next to terrace bar with families chatting to avoid the stage which is near the beach.
FOOD
The worst AI restaurant I have ever been too and I’ve travelled. After day 1 I decided it wasn’t for me so booked into the Italian. This was decent and a more enjoyable experience over the cattle market style. I managed to convince the booking lady to let me try the Chinese and return to Italian again in few days time. Normally you are only permitted 1 visit to speciality restaurant per week but speak nice to her. You can pay to eat at the restaurants which is also worth doing and the takeaway pizza you can buy is ok too. The BBQ restaurant is open from 1-3pm and was better with fresh cooked chicken and other choices to keep you going.
EXCURSIONS
Without these I would have flown home… suggest booking with Mohammed in reception often seen walking around in orange polo. He’s part of the staff team and speaks decent English giving good advice. We did the orange bay excursion which was fab, and cheap too. We also did the safari ride which I’d highly recommend. Just be prepared to be sold additional photos and memorabilia on this trip but nothing crazy and you can say no.
Some tips I’d lie to share;
Make sure you have transfers secured before arriving. The taxis are a pain with Uber being pointless as they ask you to cancel and want cash. They are also pushy and won’t leave you alone.
Use the speciality restaurants, my favourite was the Chinese.
Carry a few Egyptian pounds as tips, it goes a long way. 100-200 EGP (£1.50-£3) is all you need to give.
Bring a travel iron.
Buy an ESIM before arriving as the non inclusive WiFi doesn’t work everywhere
Would I go back? Absolutely not. It’s very low quality with a long way to go for improvement. The previous reviews seem to be spot on with much better available elsewhere. I also question the security, with a detector on the front door that all guests and staff avoid and just walk around.
There also seems to be lots of building work happening in the blocks and the main pool.
Hurghada itself is still very run down and will be 10/15 years before it looks more touristy.

Avoid the hotel

The hotel is run down and poorly managed. We had to pay extra for everything even though we are all inclusive.
One of the main pools was closed and this was not advertised or informed prior to coming. The restaurants are not included in your stay. You get 1 entry to any of the à la carte restaurants only food is free drinks you have to pay for and can not bring your own in.
The cafe bar you only soft drinks are free this is not advertised when booking it’s made out to be included. There are 3 large pools and 2 kids pools.
Be careful on the slides they are slightly unsafe. Be sure to use a mat or dingy.
The food is awful in the end my family had to pay for food just so we could have a decent meal.
When we arrived we wasn’t welcomed we was given no information about anything. On our last day a bel boy came and kicked us out. My husband was disgusted.
Rooms are moldy and outdated cleaners are lovely and do their best. Pools are dirty and do not have proper filters it’s just material bags not pumps.
Drinks are disgusting. You can’t help yourself to soft drinks. The drinks are cheap knock offs they are warm and no ice is available.
The alcohol is unbearable.
Only positive we have from our stay is the gentleman at the vitamin bar we paid extra to be able to have drinks from them but so worth it. They are so friendly, make you feel welcome as well.
The lifeguards are also lovely laughing and joking with you. They go above and beyond as well.
If you are due to visit pay for the Vitamin bar all inclusive deal.
