Friendly service, great location and wonderful hotel
What a wonderful hotel!
Service was the star of this show here - the staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were always so friendly, helpful and cheerful. I thought out of the 4 hotels we stayed at while visiting Denmark, the staff here were the best.
The room was quite basic with 2 beds and a washroom with a shower. The shower was basic. Nothing special. However, the beds and bedding were comfortable and the room was clean and spacious enough for a family with 2 adults and a preschooler. I really enjoyed the aesthetic of the hotel and the room. They also provide a pillow menu with different styles of pillows so you can find one that is most comfortable for your sleeping position.
Breakfast buffet was included and we loved it. Lots of different choices for food (no hot meat options that were not pork but eggs were provided) and drinks. My only note is that the time for breakfast service is different on weekends and weekdays so watch those times carefully if you want to take advantage of having breakfast there.
Another nice perk - checkout on weekends is at noon!
The location was great. Short walk from the train station and the rest of Odense. Overall, this was a comfortable place to explore Odense from. We really enjoyed our stay and would return. Admittedly, we loved Odense too!

Woke up early by the tram just outside the window
Modern hotel centrally located in Odense with a convenient garage under the hotel. However, I got a room where the tram stopped just outside so I woke up early when the first cars rolled in. The room that was of Superior type was not very large, but otherwise fresh. Breakfast was good in a nice dining room.

A mixed bag
We stayed at this hotel as part of a road trip and it was the fourth hotel that we stayed in in a week. The positives :- the staff were absolutely lovely, really helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a good position in the centre of Odense. The rooms and general areas were very clean.
The negatives :- absolutely tiny and non functional room. We had two large cases which we had to manoeuvre around in order to get to the bed or bathroom. The bathroom was even smaller and there was not enough room to put wash bags or cosmetics etc. The sink plug didn’t work neither did the air con resulting in sleeping with the windows open and experiencing noise from the street during the night. The instructions on the tv were clear when advising how the air con works and we were told that if it didn’t work call reception.. just one problem the phone in the room didn’t work. WiFi was patchy and unreliable.
All in all a big disappointment and sadly we won’t be returning.

Great choice in the center of Odense
Visited Odense for a conference. The hotel is close to train station. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is on the edge of the old city. Very walkable to restaurants and shopping.
The breakfast had many options - warm and cold - with delicious bread and fresh vegetables. The WiFi is good and the shower decent. The bathrooms are a bit on the tiny side.
Overall, great choice when visiting the city.

Great staff, but the rooms disappoint the price
Great staff, but the rooms disappoint the price
We had been looking forward to our stay at Hotel Odeon Odense, and in many areas we were definitely not disappointed – but the rooms unfortunately reduced the overall impression significantly.
The positive:
Outstanding service: We have never before experienced such a fantastic and welcoming staff. They really did everything they could to make us feel welcome.
Great facilities: The general facilities of the hotel are top and the frames are super fine. The negative (the rooms) lack of storage. If you have to stay here for more than a single day (as we would), you lack a closet or drawer to get your clothes off the way. It is helpless for a longer stay. Poor lighting. The room was decorated with design lamps, which unfortunately could not light up the room properly. Technical issues. Our TV only worked for a maximum of 5 minutes at a time. Although the staff were nice and helped us to change room, the problem was exactly the same on the new room.
Conclusion: The staff deserves 5 big stars for their hospitality, but the room experience and functionality simply do not match the price.
