Small but good ❤️
We were going across the country and missed a place to stay on the road. We found Bølling Lake camping! Here we were welcomed by a huge friendly ‘camping fatter’ who helped us well to correct. For us and 2 little girls it was absolutely perfect size! The clapped goats were cute, the playground and the jumping castle were on top, the cute and thick pigs were fun and the whole area around the campsite was lovely. Unfortunately we did not reach the pool, but the pool area seemed nice and clean!
The facilities were impeccable and the whole experience was just good! We would love to come back another time!

Nice campsite
A lovely place. Peace and tranquillity in scenic surroundings. A super nice host couple who understand how to make your stay pleasant. A lovely swimming pool and clean communal facilities. A campsite we will return to again.

Disappointing experience despite good preparation and high expectations
We visited Bølling Sø Camping several months before our holiday to carefully select the caravan and location that best suited our family – especially for the sake of our son, who needs peace and security. We booked and paid in good time and looked forward to a relaxing holiday in week 29.
Unfortunately, on arrival we were met with the message that our reserved caravan had been given to someone else, and we were instead referred to another – with an older fort, located close to other wagons and in significantly worse condition. The refrigerator was dirty with sand and mold, the curtain was broken, and the cart seemed generally poorly kept. This was especially problematic because the heat and lack of darkness made it difficult for our 5-year-old daughter to fall asleep.
We were offered to move in the original wagon the next day when the other team had gone home, but it ruined much of the holiday – we couldn’t really pack out or fall into it, and had to spend time and energy moving around and handling the disappointment.
When we tried to give constructive and honest feedback the same day, my mother-in-law was directly asked by the owner to “talk nicely”, even though she simply said the cart was dirty. Instead of understanding, we were told that if we were not satisfied, we could “find another place to sleep” – an unrealistic opportunity in the middle of the high season with two children. We did not feel welcome and ended up sleeping at home several nights because the mood was so bad.
Upon departure, the owners acknowledged the mistake with the wagon change, but apologized that it “occurred often”, because many do not know which wagon they booked. In our case, however, we had chosen the cart and location completely consciously – precisely to ensure a safe and good holiday for the whole family.
Maintenance and safety on site:
In addition, there were a number of things on the square that gave rise to concern:
The toilets appeared generally dirty.
On the sandy playground there were large amounts of broken plastic toys with sharp edges and plastic pieces in the sand.
I myself stepped on a about 30 cm long metal screw or rod, which lay freely.
A larger toy tool – a kind of hanger with net, where children can crawl in and turn around – was filled with large holes, despite several lapings. The holes were so large that there was a real risk that children could get their heads out of the net, get stuck or get seriously injured. I immediately took my children out of there when I found out.
All in all a very disappointing experience, despite the place's beautiful and scenic location. Our holiday was unfortunately marked by poor communication, lack of responsibility and inadequate maintenance – despite our thorough planning and high expectations.

Poor service, unhygienic caravans and toilets/Bad.Were downgraded to less expensive caravans the first day.
Having been out in the spring, specifically, to choose the caravan that suited us, with a boy, with challenges, it is very important that we got the location.
I paid quickly, so we knew it was “our”
The joy was destroyed when we expectant arrived.
We got to repel we had to, to be in the smaller wagon because they had rented “our out, to others for tomorrow.
We arrived in good time, so we could get in place before the boy was there,so we could fix it before he came the next day.
But instead it was stress and moving to “our” wagon the day after we were all there.
Toilets were dirty and the few places you could swim were unhygienic, I had to be there 5 nights with the one grandson, but I couldn't stand to be there, so 2 out of 5 days, we slept at home.
I paid a little more for the larger wagon, even if we had to stay in the small, the first day, bothering with moving again, we get no compensation.
So I won't come back
