Lovely setting with some drawbacks

A charming hotel, a palafito (stilt-house built out over the tidal cove) with a lovely view of a working harbour and terriific light. It's central, well-run, clean, very spare and simple but comfortable. The big problem is structural: unless your room is on the top floor it's like having giants dancing overhead; added to this, all pluming noises - baths running, toilets flushing, taps turning on and off - are clearly audible in the rooms on each side or below. This is difficult to fix, so probably very big earplugs are your best bet. The extremely fixable problem is the wifi, which really didn't work in our room; we stood on the landing or went down to the cafe to get a signal. Wifi extenders would solve this simple problem and I hope the hotel does so, because it's a pity not to be able to give the place a full five stars.

Warmth, comfort and good taste.

With exquisite warmth, impeccable ambiance, and an incredible view, the hotel is absolutely recommended. We stayed in a room with an ocean view, and everything was just as we dreamed. The bed was super comfortable, the linens spotless, and the facilities were very appropriate for the location. Everything very clean. The breakfast is personalized, abundant and very rich. The reception and the cafe/dining room also have a beautiful view. Finally, the attention of the owner and staff was unbeatable, attentive to the needs of the guests. Without a doubt one of my favorites in Chile.

Beautiful hotel!

The hotel is beautiful, comfortable and the service excellent. Breakfast is very good, and the view from the rooms or the cafe are real postcards of Chiloé. My only observation is the noise of the neighboring rooms, being palafito there is little isolation which requires guests to be very considerate of their neighbors, which does not always happen. If you visit this hotel, I suggest a quiet stay to enjoy the place.

A small gem…

Very charming boutique hotel on the famous Pedro Montt street. This real Palafito has been wonderfully restored and the rooms with sea view are astonishing. Staff is polite and friendly. Breakfast is a great experience. Even if the soundproofing of the rooms is far from being perfect (how could it be on those structures anyway?), I can’t give anything less than 5 “balls”.

Quirky, friendly and fun!

This place is a lot of fun. The room was comfortable, the bathroom was well-appointed, and the entire place could not have been cleaner, plus the entire building smells like whatever fresh-baked goods become part of the next morning's breakfast. The staff are genuinely warm and kind and really care that you have a good stay.
