Great stay for family

Check before booking at Le Mirage
Property: An older two-story building with no elevator. It is at 288 on highway 132.
Room Type: One Queen Bed, No Smoking, Upper Floor with balcony, 1 small table and TV.
Pros: Situated on highway 132, going up a hill with some of the best views of Percé Rock and Bonaventure Island. Sufficient parking. The bedding & mattress were OK. Large exterior pool.
Cons: a bit on the pricey side for a standard room and the room style was very outdated; we got a Notice saying the large dining room was closed to most everyone except for organized tour buses. Therefore, No dinner and No breakfast offered. These two services (breakfast & dinner) were why we booked here in the first place. Can’t cook in the room or on the grounds, can’t eat fish in the room, must take out own garbage to the garage!!!
Cleanliness: for cleanliness it could have been better.
Rating: If you’re not part of an organized tour bus, we do Not recommend this motel: rating 2.0.

Fantastic view
The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The air conditioning and the shower functioned just fine. The rooms could use some updating...the decor is a weird hodge-podge and the bathroom has no fan. If you don't care about those things, then you'll be quite happy staying here.
The reception is *very* friendly! But I only found out just now by reading another review below that we could have ordered croissants for breakfast. It would have been nice to have that info.
You can't get better than the upper floor balconies, though. They are semi-private and lovely for enjoying your view of the town and the water with the rock and Bonaventure Island.

Excellent views
Best views of PERCE rock - most rooms have direct view of rock (unobstructed).
Nice renovated rooms with FRIDGE. Good A/C.
Free parking (assigned beside unit).
Comfy and very clean and nice. Loved this hotel.
You can preorder breakfast (croissants) or go and pick up espresso coffee in the morning. (also coffee in the room). Restaurant is closed now due to no staff available.
