Can’t beat this price! Very clean.

Basic accommodation but at a very reasonable price and super clean! Would highly recommend.
The only downside what that it was a little hard to navigate to the checkin and also to the room for the first time. Also, my room had just a “twin” size bed. Great for me but would be too small for some.

Stay if you want to be baked alive.

I stayed in the residence complex and I got what I paid for. The building was extremely hot and stuffy at 6:30 pm when I arrived. There was no air conditioning and to make matters worse the windows can only open approximately 6 inches so I could not get any airflow. I had issues with the keys trying to get into the building and I almost had to go get security. The cylinders for the locks are loose or something.
I can't believe they have students staying in this hole. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Unfortunately we have been dealing with a heat wave which has caused our building to be very warm. Normally the nights are much cooler which helps to make the rooms more comfortable. The windows can only open a limited amount for safety reasons. We are sorry you had difficulties with the locks; we do not normally have any complaints when it comes to this.

Clean and friendly, but way too hot

The staff were helpful, and the room was neat, but even with the window open, my room was at least 35C. Even laying with no clothes on, I was sweating. There was no AC in the entire wing, so just walking from the other offices felt like walking into an oven.

Unfortunately we have been experiencing a heat wave which has caused high temperatures in the rooms. Normally the nights are cooler which helps make the rooms more comfortable. We are glad you were pleased with the other aspects of your stay.

Grenfell dorms a hot accommodation

It was hot and humid when we were in Cornerbrook. Our room with only a small fan never cooled down. The hallway outside was hotter and it seemed there was a heater at the entrance. We were on the second floor and it appears normal evacuation rules are not followed since the only ext was at one end of the hall. It would not be possible to get out through the window in the event of a fire
The beds were extremely hard and a ‘small’ double.
There was minimal cutlery and cooking equipment in the kitchen
The only plus was that although dated everything was clean

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Unfortunately since the rooms do not have air conditioning and we were experiencing a heat wave during your stay it is difficult to cool down the rooms. Thankfully we are expecting cooler temperatures for the upcoming week. There is a door to exit the hallway at both ends on every floor. We are sorry you were not pleased with the bed and equipment in the kitchen. We do have extra cooking supplies available to borrow at the front desk.

Avoid - Heated Buildings in the Summer - Unbearable

They had the heat blasting in all of the buildings in July! It was unbearable. Everything else was fantastic, from check-in to cleanliness and everything you would expect. The temperature was absolutely unbearable. I would never go back or recommend this to anyone.

Hi Mike,
I am sorry that you had this experience. We do not have air conditioning but we typically do not have the heat on in the summer. Each room has its own heat control. Some type of rooms like the apartments have a better air flow and cool down more easily in the evenings. Glad to hear the rest of our services were fantastic.
