Great hotel in Sofia

Hotel in a great location (central, many public transport nearby), the staff everything is friendly and helpful, room cleaning is daily, breakfast is great and varied, absolutely my husband and I recommend it!

The hotel looks very new and clean when you 1st approach. On the 2nd night we found a 1 inch cockroach in our bathroom. When we looked around we noticed smaller cockroaches squished into the hallway carpet. The breakfast food quality is subpar at best.

Nice experience.

Modern hotel 15 minutes walk from the center. Anyway bus nearby. Quiet area apparently without danger. Shops very close. Small lobby and large breakfast room. Large rooms with everything you need for comfort. Clean structure and linen change and daily bed making.

Surprise in Sofia: between Martenitsa and hospital lanes

We stayed here for a weekend with friends and I must say that the impact was higher than expected. The hotel has a completely renovated exterior and even inside you can feel a breath of freshness, a sign that they have invested in renovation.
5 Key Points
Status: The hotel is new or has been recently renovated; the façade is modern and the interior has undergone a rather modern style.
Cleaning Top: Despite the inevitable (and for me obnoxious) carpeting, the level of cleanliness is excellent. Superior to many 4 stars I have been to.
Hospitality: A sweet gesture: being the period of Baba Marta, at the start we were given the typical lucky bracelets. Not obvious attention!
Quality/Price ratio: Definitely unbeatable for the current state of the structure.
Practical information
Well connected: a 5-minute walk there is the metro stop, with which you can reach the center in a few minutes.
Hygiene: Carpet treated well, floors and surfaces without a trace of dust.
Recommended period: Late February/early March to experience the local tradition of gifts at reception.
The downside
Unfortunately, the sore point concerns the location. The hotel is literally immersed in the complex of a large city hospital. To enter or exit the facility, you must pass through the driveway access of ambulances and health wards. It is not the ultimate in beauty or relaxation, especially if you are looking for a purely touristic setting.
Final Verdict: If you can turn a blind eye to "sleeping in the hospital", the BG Hotel is a super recommended choice for cleanliness, modernity and courtesy. Perfect for those who aim for substance and savings without sacrificing decorum.

Quality price: optimal ratio

The Hotel is about 2 km walk from the city center, very well connected by Bus (number 9 in a few minutes takes you downtown) and the metro (stop 200 meters from the Hotel).
If the location can be considered a minus, on the other hand the cleanliness of the hotel in the rooms is high. The spacious shower, the clean bathroom, the right room with high and hard mattresses at the right point that combine sleep optimally. Rooms also very warm and redone every morning.
Breakfast is international, pushes a lot on savory products, few sweet products but cmq abundant presence of nutelline croissants and jams. Overall more than enough since some products do not look very fresh.
The only flaw, the lobby staff not very nice, very hasty and not inclined to help us solve a small inconvenience occurred during the trip.
Excellent value for money.
