We had a lovely stay overall and the staff were wonderful—kind, accommodating, and gracious when they helped us move to another room after the stove in our original room wasn’t working. The new room was on a lower floor, which we actually preferred, so we really appreciated how smoothly they facilitated the move.
Our only frustration was that the second room didn’t have the kitchenette we had originally paid for, which meant we had to spend extra out of our budget to compensate. I followed up multiple times after our stay and, unfortunately, never heard back beyond being told the matter would be passed along to management. I’m happy to give the benefit of the doubt that it was simply missed, but being left without any follow-up was disappointing.
That communication issue aside, we genuinely enjoyed the hotel and would absolutely recommend it. We’re giving 5 stars because the stay itself was lovely and the staff were great; I just wish the post-stay communication and resolution had matched that experience and found that disappointed.

We were generally very happy with our room. Small but plenty for us, and very effective air conditioning. Bathroom and shower were good, too.
One reason I booked it was the little kitchen set-up. It was there, and everything worked, but it felt like some things were missing: There were exactly two of everything (plates, forks, spoons, etc.), which is technically enough but not really. There was no way to wash said dishes; when I asked about a sponge and soap at the desk, the nice man there was at a loss. And no dish towels or anything else you might need. I appreciate the kitchenette, but I suspect it had been added recently and not tested for usefulness.

Booked room with two beds. Sofa bed wasn’t made up and no bed linen provided. Reception staff sorted out. Room was a bit shabby but we were only there for one night.

Florum hotel is just a 25 minute walk to St Stephens cathedral. There’s a tram just outside which would take you there in 5-10 minutes but we opted for walking. Air conditioning worked brilliantly. Only downside is the bathroom. Good size but shower is over the bath and there is no shower curtain or screen, so water ends up over the floor and hand basin. Having said that, I would return. Staff member at reception when we checked in, was excellent. (Sorry, I can’t remember your name). Good area if a female travelling solo, felt quite safe.
