Very Nice Stay

Had a very pleasant 4 day stay here late May. Not in town so you would be better off here if you have a car but having said that, the small village of Unken is only a 10 or so minute walk away. Stayed on my own and had a nice double room. Hotel comes with half pension (breakfast and dinner) and the food was of good quality. Nice cake collection for the afternoon and it was pleasant sitting on the back terrace in the sun.
Plenty of parking and the hotel is in a forest setting next to a mountain and hiking paths are from the front door. Wonderful views all around. Staff efficient and friendly and the hotel is part of the Landhotel group. The surrounding area is worthwhile of exploration including excursions to Koenigsee and Berchtesgaden in Germany as well as to Salzburg and Lofer in Austria. You get a tourist card in summer which gives you free bus transport to Salzburg as well as to other destinations. Free gondola rides for those in operation in the area as well.
Reasonable value for what you get. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place with very nice and caring personel

We are here for team building, 12 people, and the personel is very kind, caring, truly leaving the feeling to follow up the needs of all of us, one by one.
The hotel is lovely, with a lot of service and the surrounding is stunning.
I can come back here any time and would encourage everybody to come and see :)

Great Hotel, lovely people

Recently stayed at this lovely hotel for 1 week whilst skiing in nearby lofer. Being a small family run hotel we found the service to be very friendly and personal. The food was of a high quality and varied. Our room was of a good size, comfortable and clean. The overall feel of this hotel is very special as are the family and staff.

A wonderful place to stay

We spent 5 nights at this hotel and can say the quality of service was excellent. We made arrangements to be picked up from the bus station in Unken. Checkin was effortless and the room was well appointed and roost. Our room looked out onto the mountains and river and we spent a lot of time on the balcony admiring the view. We booked the half board option (breakfast and dinner). The meals were of a high quality and included many locally sourced foods. We enjoyed the proximity to the local hiking trails and the 15 minute walk into the centre of Unken was easy. One observation - it would be great if the material in the room and daily newsletter were also in English. The owners were only too happy to explain things for us, as I say this is not a criticism but an observation. We would definitely stay there again, it is a wonderful establishment set in a beautiful location!

Very friendly, beautiful location, nice rooms, nice outside

We arrived after a long hiking day. Dusty, tired, feet that had given up. And then to be greeted with a big smile, direct help with a booking/luggage issue. The service attitude: whatever it is, we will solve it for you. Every service promise was kept. Lunch kit for the next day. Good kitchen, comfortable breakfast. It was quiet, very nice garden, outside for dinner. What else can a weary guest want?
