Top stay

Beautiful and well-kept hotel, child friendly. This summer we were there for the 2nd time for 12 days. Tasty and rich breakfast buffet with lots of fruit. Evening soup and vegetable buffet and choice of 3 main courses and tasty desserts, as well as ice cream and cheese vh buffet. Spacious rooms with balconies and free wifi. Beautiful indoor pool, tennis courts, table football, ping pong, wellness,... free summer card for free use cable cars, swimming pools, public transport (50m vh hotel), swimming lake Ramsau Beach (300m vh hotel). Perfect location for excursions and walks. And above all...the owners and staff are super friendly and helpful. We are going back next summer for a 3rd time with our 2 teenagers.

Perfect for families with children and friends of hiking

We stayed in Jagfdhof in July 2022 with 6 adults and 3 children 6 to 9 years old. The hotel is clean and has been regularly renovated. Good playground and playrooms for children. Indoor football and billiards were also good for adults. Beautiful, bright pool area with access out to the sun. Ramsau Beach and Rittisberg playground 300m away.Varied breakfast, including plenty of fresh fruit. 3 main course options at dinner, delicious ! Friendly staff and owner family. When the hiking bus didn't show up one morning, the owners drove us in two cars to the starting point of our hike.
The Dachstein hiking trails are about 500 metres away. The village centre is about 2 km away, accessible by a flat panoramic road or by a free bus from 300 m away. The hotel offers residents the Sommer Card, with free buses and lifts up to the mountains and many other services.
We will be back , next time with just my wife. So many hiking trails left untrodden.

Perfect company stay in Austrian Alps!

We stayed in Hotel Jagdhof as a company trip for almost 30 person and I must admitt that I have never stay in Austria in such wonderful Hotel with soo delicious food! Stuff is very nice and helpful, everything was perfect, wellness, food, rooms! We will come again next year and enjoy your Hotel again.
I can really recommend to everyone who wants to spend perfect holiday in Austria.

heaven on earth

I spent wonderful moments in this place with my family
is the place for relaxation, where you are surrounded by nature hospitable people excellent food and many activities nearby
We have enjoyed a dream view at the foot of the glacier, we were spoiled with amazing food tasty and the accommodation was excellent

Cosy winter retreat

We stayed here for a week in early February with the intention of using the wide network of cleared winter walking paths in and around Ramsau. While about 20 minutes walk outside the village centre the hotel is located directly on one of the main paths. There is a bus stop right nearby so getting about is easy if you have walked enough. Our room was recently refurbished, was extremely clean, had a comfortable seating area, a nice bathroom and a lovely view out across the valley. The seating area is worthwhile as there is limited common seating area downstairs other than the restaurant/bar. These are both pleasant, with free coffee/tea and cakes served each afternoon in the winter and a lovely patio for the sunny days (which do occur in winter too). The tasty breakfast buffet was varied with fruits, yoghurts, meats, breads etc. During our week we had three themed buffet meals and a four or five course meal on the other nights, with the quality of the food excellent throughout. Service was friendly with enough English spoken to get by. In the pleasant wellness area there is a small pool, saunas, games room etc.
The hotel arranged a torch-light walk one evening which was very enjoyable.
We would definitely recommend this hotel for the winter and plan to try it in the summer as the area looks excellent for walking and is very scenic.
