A relaxing stay in a beautiful location with great views
We had a spacious and comfortable room with a shared balcony and a newly renovated bathroom. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and nicely varied. The location of the hotel was perfect for getting around the area, and a cablecar pass was included in the price of the room. Altogether, we had a very relaxing and pleasant stay.

3 Nights in Nesselwaengle
good: location, abuts mountain with trail access direct and also shortly across valley to adjacent range and bergbahn. dog friendly, quiet, simple. great coffee. amazing how far good coffee will go to making a good impression. quiet village no nightlife, one very good gasthof in town for dinner. did not eat dinner at berghof just didn't have the desire to dine in the questionable ambiance of hotel restaurant. Front desk man Nikola very helpful and friendly, and a great guide. updates daily on weather, activities, and so on. very nice drop off point for activities. view from balcony good.
ok: breakfast average, assigned seating in morning (maybe i want to sit somewhere else? outside maybe?). parking ok. nearest market 5-6 clicks away, same with gas. grass harvest time and cows adjacent to hotel make for an agrarian feel.
possible improvement: no tea/water/fridge/hot water/coffee/pen/paper in room. given a comment sheet to fill out, no pen in room lol. absurd questions about 'appropriate levels of cleaning person contact' and so on gives a point for effort but again misdirected ownership. identity question, what is this place? might be best to take it even simpler low cost eliminate facade of luxury which this is not. breakfast too late starts at 0800, sunrise at 0600 ish. access door to parking lot one story below main entrance not open until 0730 or 0800 makes for difficulty in packing/unpacking. wait for the sauna. appeared to be two but only one was one. line up/wait. quiet room seems a converted group shower or something. water not attended everyone of course thirsty, hot water kettle reeks of 20 years coffee, lacking a bit of care/consideration for the comfort of guests. just stupid small things like that. can't tell if run down, ramping up or given up. ownership conspicuously absent, efforts a bit misdirected. older everything sort of a hostel/lodge feel from the 70's, bathrooms quite old, standard 'washout' toilet with upper landing/catchment platform as popular in these parts. (splash factor for standing males). value? tough call, as middle of summer, but compared to other options i felt the value was somewhat lacking at over 400 € for 3 nights. would feel better at $350 or less. would try somewhere else next trip to valley but appreciated the quietude and Nikola.

Nice and quiet, good cuisine!
We stayed for one night during our motorcycle trip through Austria.
The hotel itself is located between the mountains with some nice views.
The staff was helpful and hospitable. The kitchen made some really good dinner, breakfast was average but good.
The rooms and hotel are a bit outdated, but they're on renovating step by step.
A good stay after a long day trip with delicious food and a nice view!

Schönes Hotel - Ideal für Entspannung & Aktivitäten
Das Hotel Berghof ist ein sehr gemütliches, familiengeführtes Hotel. Vom Hotel aus hat man einen schönen Ausblick auf die Berge. Im Winter ist es für Langläufer und Skifahrer ideal geeignet - sowohl die Langlaufloipe, als auch das Skigebiet ist in direkter Nähe zum Hotel. Im Sommer liegt das Hotel ideal für Wanderungen.
Nachmittags besteht die Möglichkeit den schönen Wellnessbereich zu nutzen. Hier steht Infrarotkabine, Sauna, Dampfbad und Ruheraum zur Verfügung.
Das Essen ist qualitativ hochwertig und lecker. Das Servicepersonal war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.
Wir kommen gerne wieder und können den Berghof im Nesselwängle nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Insgesamt ein schöner Aufenthalt
Im Mai waren wir für zwei Übernachtungen im Berghotel. Der Aufenthalt hat uns insgesamt gut gefallen. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich, und unser Zimmer mit Südbalkon wirkte mit der Holzvertäfelung, dem Laminatboden und dem modernen Boxspringbett sehr nett. Das Hotel ist ruhig gelegen, und wir hatten einen schönen Ausblick auf die Berge. Vor dem Haus gibt es auch eine schöne Panoramaterrasse, die wir leider nicht genutzt haben. Der untere Eingangsbereich vom Parkplatz Richtung Fahrstuhl macht allerdings keinen guten ersten Eindruck, und auch die Flure hatten unserer Meinung nach noch Renovierungsbedarf. Wir hatten Halbpension gebucht. Am ersten Abend gab es ein Auswahlmenü aus Steak, Dorade oder Blumenkohl im Bierteig. Dieses wurde im Wintergarten serviert, von wo man auch einen schönen Ausblick hat. Als Vorspeise gab es Salatbüffet und Suppe. Die Hauptspeise gelangte sehr schön angerichtet auf den Teller. Das Steak war auch gut Anschließend wurde noch eine Nachspeise serviert. Am zweiten Abend gab's ein Büfett mit Tiroler Spezialitäten. Dazu gab's viel Fleisch, Käsespätzle, Klöße, aber auch einen Tisch mit vielen leckeren Kleinigkeiten. Zum Nachtisch gab's Kaiserschmarrn und Apfelstrudel. Im Vergleich hat uns der Abend mit Menüauswahl besser gefallen.
Das Frühstücksbüffet hatte eine gute Auswahl.
Das Personal war sehr freundlich.
Ein toller Service ist die Tannheimer Tal Card, mit der man kostenlos die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel und die Bergbahnen nutzen kann.
