This historic hotel offers 2 restaurants, a bar and large rooms with free high-speed WiFi in all areas. It is located in a former brewery just 5 minutes' walk from Münster's Kreuzviertel district.

Parking was easy. Self check-in was simple, but plenty of staff on hand. Rooms were pristine and the historic nature of the location was on display. Plenty of restaurants nearby and an easy 30min walk to central Münster.

A mixed bag, but mainly good
This would have been a 4 star review in my opinion, but my wife pointed out a few missing factors that brought it down to about a 3.5. Lets start with the good - the charm factor! This hotel is a former brewery and they have maintained a lot of the external structure. The result is a very cool, unique industrial looking hotel.
There is parking underground which costs 15.5 euros per night with in and out privileges. There are two EV spots BUT the garage has absolutely zero cellphone coverage, so I must have wasted 30 minutes trying to get the car to charge with PlugSurfing, in the end I managed to link an RFID card to my account. You also need to move your car within 4 hours otherwise a steep per minute charge is applied. The staff at the front desk have no idea about how the EV stations work and could not help me at all here.
Checkin was fine, despite asking for a high floor I was put on the first floor initially, but when I asked on checkin she was able to find me a room on the 3,5 floor. The rooms were clean, but so spartan! It even gives Scandic a run for their money in terms of not having amenities! No tea or coffee, no kettle, no fridge, only one 3-in-1 soap dispenser in the shower, shampoo, conditioner in the bathroom .. In terms of good points: a nice balcony, a good writing desk, comfortable bed and good sized modern TV. Shower pressure was good, and the bathroom was clean and functional.
The breakfast is priced at 22 euros per person - and from the few photos one could see of the breakfast offering, it didn't feel worth it so we skipped it. The lady on checkout was good enough to give us a 30 minute later checkout, but one is spoiled with the 4pm late checkout Marriott normally give me...
The room has air conditioning, but one almost needs a PhD to work out how to start it .. maybe exaggerated a little, but I did need to call the front desk!
There are a lot of restaurants, a supermarket and a few cafes around the area even though the location is a bit "off" from the city center. Had the room had a bit more creature comforts (fine if you don't provide coffee in the room - but at least then have some free coffee in the reception! As a Swede this was sorely missed) then it would have been a solid four.

Great use of the old brewery site. The hotel was clean. The staff very friendly and spoke both German and English with us very fluently.
The restaurant food was gorgeous as was the surroundings in the restaurant.
The bar was well stocked and had a good atmosphere.
Parking was safe and reasonably priced.
The room was quite large and the balcony was sunny.
My only complaint were the pillows and this is purely a personal thing- I like firmer pillows and none were available
The bed was really roomy and comfortable and I liked the discount for less room cleaning- what a great idea
We had a lovely stay and will return.

Unusually poor service!
Total failure Wi-Fi!
After a long business day, finally showered at 9:15 p.m. and rested in the room in my sleep dress, I find that I cannot process my business emails as planned due to lack of internet connection. According to the reception, the problem has existed for several days - in a hotel where, due to the massive construction, there is already only a limited mobile connection, a real imposition. The problem-solving password to the Internet should be picked up at the reception at this time. Thank you for this service I forgo!
